Helps me keep up with important events, appear organized, better manage my time, and stay on task! If added color coding feature to categorize my entries (I.e., health appointments, social activities, birthdays/anniversaries, work meetings, etc) it would be a solid 5-stars! No idea what has happened but it just deleted my dog's chemo appointment, hid my eye doctor appointment, and caused us to miss an expensive and exciting event at the zoo. Strongly do not recommend ; Google calendar never failed me when I had a Samsung. Doing the same on my wife's phone too! ### 1/5 — Rubbish *2026-08-13, version 1.9* For a very long time as a Windows PC / Android user I often heard that Apple was better than Microsoft and Google. I eventually went all in , switched to iPhone, Macbooks, iPads, etc, only to find that it isn’t better at all, just different. Space precludes listing all my supporting reasons here, but to give just one annoyance related to the Calendar app (to stay on topic), anytime I enter a number to a Calendar event it automatically converts and saves it as a phone number, with no way to switch off this stupid default behaviour, and despite many users complaining about this Apple does nothing to fix it, which is typical, they don’t listen to user feedback. ### 1/5 — App not syncing and lost all of events *2026-08-13, version 1.9* I don’t know what’s going on with Apple iCal, but it just disappeared. I had my bill updated stored for years - do I not have access to this at all? Could’ve at least warned us you needed to update, which included wiping out calendars. I hope something gets done, why make it so much harder for users - I’ve now got to decide if I re-add all the missing information or go back to a different option. They tend to get lost in all the other notifications from other apps I have and I often miss them because they don’t stand out. My family has not adopted it and we share our information on it to help to communicate everyone’s wearabouts or determine scheduling conflicts. I do wish that the developers would add a feature to cancel appointments but leave them on the calendar but just cross them out.
