Calf Book will allow you to enter breeding information on your cowherd and project calving dates. This application will generate individual cow productivity by keeping annual calf performance. Whenever I’ve had any trouble, they’ve been quick to respond back with whatever it takes to fix the problem. ### 1/5 — Keeps deleting & switching *2022-04-15, version 2.0.5* Keeps deleting cow tag # or switching Cow/calf tag # data. After it switches data around there isn’t a way to correct the info in the system. This app has 3 subscription levels thru the developers. Odd as most In-apps subscriptions are done thru apple. I didn’t subscribe, seemed fishy. It’s only free for 1 month then it wants u to buy a subscription thru the developer. It wound be worth it if it actually didn’t loose/delete/switch data around. ### 2/5 — Calving report *2022-01-24, version 2.0.5* How can I print off my calving report?! I push reports and nothing happens?! ### 1/5 — Poor to no customer/technical support *2021-05-17, version 2.0.5* Started off as an awesome app. First 3 years it worked fine. However the app would not sync properly with the online platform only to find a season and a half data disappeared. Most disappointing part was there was no technical support that seemed concerned about correcting the issue. They weren’t even concerned about responding to emails. ### 1/5 — Interface good, loses data and poor service *2020-11-10, version 2.0.5* At first I was very happy with the function of this app. But half way through calving, I realized it was not saving most of my cow data. So most (about 80%) of what I was documenting for culling purposes, was gone. Tech support was very responsive at first, but when they acknowledged the problem but could not fix it...they just stopped responding to me. So then I gave up and asked for a refund, but of course they never responded to that request either. Apparently they decided they are just done with me, because they will not call, and they will not reply to my emails. ### 3/5 — Like the simplicity *2020-05-25, version 2.0.5* I like how easy it is to use. The app would benefit for more reporting functionality. It makes keeping cattle records easy n simple! And simple is important for us. One feature I would like to see is a printable option for each category so that I can have a hard copy after ai have spent a huge amount of hours on data entry only to (hopefully never) loss the time and data entered. As I use this app more and see how it all works (only started to pre-enter all the cattle n calf numbers), and actually get to use out in the field during the 2018 calving season, I may come up with other suggestions. There are no issues that aren't addressed promptly with the developer whenever I encounter a problem. I have never lost data, thanks to his on line data base I have been able to retrieve missing data. The heath record option completed and sealed the use of this program for me. It is my main source of record keeping for my operation now.
