Should be good apps this is city of Calgary. ### 2/5 — Search *2024-09-05* Add a search bar at the top of the services list similar to other apps. Too hard to find a specific service in the long list. ### 3/5 — I can report a beaver but i can’t report excessive dog barking??? *2022-11-19* Its a little confusing why you can only report 2 things online via the website and have to call in for everything else but you can report most things via the app but not currently dog barking…but in the off chance i encounter a beaver; we’re covered. If they made all options available it would be better, or at least make an “other” drop down option. ### 1/5 — Typical city system, doesn’t work often *2022-07-23* This app is garbage. I keep trying to submit reports and they never get processed. Plus it is extremely non user friendly. I am sure whoever developed this junk app has never even used it. ### 1/5 — Why should I use this *2022-06-30* The 311 call hold system said use the app. I use the app and after a few clicks it says to call 311. So back to the phone. What a waist of time on so many levels. I may as well just call and wait it out. User interface is awful. Tried to submit a request but couldn’t find be submit button, went back only to lose all I typed in the request so had to do it up all over again. Hint: Submit button is at the very top hidden in the main header on the right. It blends in perfectly with everything else at the top of the screen. I mean who would expect it to be at the bottom of entering your request and highly visible? ### 1/5 — Makes city workers even lazier. *2020-07-17, version 3.20.2* Don't bother. I put the effort to file 3 requests including pictures in hopes it would resolve some dangerous ice patches. nope, i'm 0 for 3. One request included a photo showing old man trying to navigate a city path covered in ice. Oh to have a job doing the bare minimum. ### 2/5 — Feedback *2019-07-13* It would be nice if there was a reply stating what was done. Some tickets are just closed without explanation, and it’s not clear whether anything was done to solve the issue. There is also no option to re-open a ticket. ### 2/5 — Horrible Testing, or no testing *2018-11-27, version 3.18.1* Every time I use the app it has a different error for why a submission cannot be made. Each of these are not related to the actual entry but rather some defect of the app. The latest one is that I have not provided my password. THE APPLICATION DOES NOT USE A PASSWORD. On another occasion it required a photo for something that didn’t need a photo (you would never provide one) and then took the location from the photo and said it didn’t match the address (that is because the phone GPS is not that accurate). The City of Calgary should get their money back from whoever is responsible for writing this app. The idea is right, the execution is horrid. ### 2/5 — A terribly designed app *2018-02-28* The map gives inaccurate readings and the input is confusing (e.g. in making a complaint about ice and snow on the sidewalk there is no indication which is the address of the property you are complaining about and which is your address, and then you can’t edit it if you have put in the wrong address on either line). ### 1/5 — I like the app but I think it froze my phone *2017-09-25, version 3.17.4* Just tried to close out of the app on my new phone (opened the app by accident), now my phone is completely frozen. It came up with the screen that asks if I wanted it to access my location... now I can't press either 'allow' or 'don't allow' and can't even manually shut down my phone. I'm going to wait for the phone to die and try again. If it was the issue with the phone I'll adjust my review accordingly. ### 1/5 — Need better follow up *2017-08-26, version 3.17.4* I submitted a ticket and requested a follow up via email. I received an email saying my ticket was filed under a new category & was closed. That is not the follow up I was looking for. I want to know what is being done about my concern. ***the above review was written 4 years ago*** More feedback: this ap still does not provide any resolution updates. I submitted a request and it was closed as "completed", but the issue was not dealt with. Someone from the city should write a brief message on these requests explaining how the problem was fixed, or say why it wasn't fixed. It's been at least 4 years and this hasn't been addressed. ### 1/5 — doesn't work *2017-01-21, version 3.17.4* doesn't work. won't register ### 1/5 — Doesn't do anything *2017-01-21, version 3.17.4* I can't get it to even create a request. Literally doesn't do anything. ### 1/5 — You better have an address *2016-12-27, version 3.17.4* Even if you have a photo of the site, (which doesn't get saved to the camera roll). Selecting the location on the map isn't sufficient and the app will refuse to take a report. You are required to figure out (Some how, even for city properties that have no sign) the correct address to fill into the report and the GPS address isnt always enough. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — City never actions requests *2026-04-11* I have put in a few requests in the past couple years but the city hasn’t even responded to my concern let alone fix the issue. All are pretty relevant, path repair and signage for safety is what I put in ### 1/5 — Terrible design *2025-10-01* It's impossible to accomplish anything on this app. Too complicated to actually achieve what I'm trying to do. I “used” the app for 5 minutes and deleted it! (By “used” I mean: fumbled around getting caught in loops, unable to click buttons that were hiding almost completely off screen, bouncing around from one useless link to another until I almost smashed my phone in a blind rage.) ### 1/5 — HORRIBLE *2024-05-18* I downloaded this app to report a dangerous driver (driving a Calgary cab). Since I downloaded it, today, Ive gotten SEVEN scam calls. Clearly don’t protect our data!! The City does a great job resolving criminal mischief related to graffiti. ### 5/5 — Great app *2023-06-07* I am loving this app. Raised a request to pick a dead animal from my backyard and that was completed in 2 days. Raised another request to remove dead tree from the front of my house and that was completed in 18 days. Now I have asked them to plant the replacement trees yesterday and the person visited the place today already and I am pretty sure it will be completed soon too. Great work everyone. I use it probably two or three times a month to report things like craters in the road, or a traffic light that isn't working properly. For the most part, the City is pretty good at responding to the issues and addressing them!
