### 3/5 — Apple Watch complication doesn’t work

*2022-09-25, version 9.2*

Good but Apple Watch face complication does not refresh - quite useless and misleading

### 4/5 — Does not read data correctly

*2022-01-05, version 9.2*

I was looking for exactly this type of app - one that reads the active energy, resting energy and substracts dietary energy. In theory the app would be perfect except: it does not read today’s resting energy… It uses yesterday’s resting value and adds it to today’s active -> makes the app completely useless. Sorry devs!

Update: changed rating based on dev response, now I get it, thank you!

### 3/5 — Like it but watch widget not working

*2021-10-05, version 9.0*

Great tool to see what caloric deficit or surplus is on watch but recently all it shows is 4 dashes on widget. App on phone works but mainly got this for watch app. Hopefully it gets resolved

### 4/5 — Genau was ich gesucht habe

*2021-08-15, version 9.0*

### 4/5 — Good but 1 problem on watch

*2021-06-23, version 9.0*

If I put more calories (diet intake) than active + rest then the app on watch bugs out and don't update the compilation on watch face. Instead of giving negative value total crash and doesn't update at all the rest works perfect

### 4/5 — Works great, but weekly trend could be better

*2021-02-12, version 9.0*

I like this app, integrates well with Apple Health and MFP. Small update that would make this better is if you could customize the weekly start day. Currently it only starts on Sunday.

### 4/5 — Doesn’t sync with my Apple Watch anymore

*2021-02-06, version 9.0*

I like the app but it doesn’t sync with my watch anymore. It’s a bit annoying.

### 3/5 — Confusing

*2021-01-09, version 9.0*

I don’t completely understand how to use this app. I just want to compare if I have a deficit for the week on caloric intake by this seems to do something else. Maybe I just need more time to figure it out.

### 4/5 — Great Functionality but One Weird Thing

*2020-08-27, version 9.0*

I love this app, it’s able to show me my progress to date as well as my progress towards the next pound loss which is very motivating. My
only critique would be that every time I click home the “Daily Target” pops back up and Is back at 0 despite me setting it before (multiple times). Can’t seem to get this to stop happening and be able to set it to whatever deficit (or surplus) I want and not have it keep popping up and resetting. If the developer has any insight I would be curious! Overall great app

### 2/5 — I wish it worked better

*2020-03-30, version 9.0*

I’m paying for this app but it doesn’t always sync my data from apple health. I can input my calories and it will register that I ate 500 calories when I entered 1000 calories, this messes up the entire weeks net calorie count and I have no idea if I’m making the progress I’m wanting without going directly to apple health and doing the calculations myself.

Please fix this bug, I would love to keep using this app.

### 2/5 — Great idea but...

*2020-03-10, version 8.2*

Really great concept and literally the app I’ve been searching for, but it needs more work. Only the first meal logged gets transferred to this app, the calorie entries after won’t load even when you press the sync button and allow access to your meal logging apps. Not worth the $1.99 monthly subscription since it doesn’t work correctly.

### 2/5 — Premium does not have all-time

*2019-02-20, version 8.0*

Cool app but the premium version DOES NOT have “all-time” net calories. It only shows 7 days. A bit misleading. I might be missing something but I looked over every area of the app and didn’t find this feature.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Wish I could get my money back

*2022-04-14, version 9.2*

This has not done anything it’s said it would do. It doesn’t sync and I cannot load the health data like it shows through Apple Health.

### 1/5 — Sort of useful

*2021-09-18, version 9.0*

I can’t really understand the data. I think every “level” I achieve should be a pound lost. However it says I am on level 18, and I am no where close to losing 18 pounds. I do t know what it’s using for energy expenditure or if it’s just guessing. I know the food is correct. I over enter calories just in case I am not entering it correctly. Also the goal needs to be more clear. I have a 500 deficit set up in my goal. But no where in the trends does it mention making my goal or not. Very confusing. But once the app makes more sense and is more user friendly, this could be a great weight loss tool.

### 1/5 — App watch face doesn’t update

*2021-03-04, version 9.0*

Not happy with how the watch face complication doesn’t update

### 1/5 — Daily calorie complication does not work

*2020-03-19, version 9.0*

I downloaded this app because I wanted a complication that simply showed the sum of all my calories burned throughout the day.

Over a span of 2 days, all it ever did was show 2.2k, it never changed, and never updated. This app doesn’t seem to work at all.

### 1/5 — Not counting all categories from MFP

*2020-02-24, version 8.2*

I used to like this app, but recently it began to randomly not count the calories from a random category in My Fitness Pal. Like today, it will not count my “snack” calories.

### 1/5 — Faulty

*2019-02-13, version 8.0*

Apple Watch complications kept disappearing from Apple Watch Series 4 watch face.

### 1/5 — Can’t enter calories

*2018-01-29, version 3.0*

Difficult to use

### 1/5 — Stats only for 7 days

*2017-10-20, version 3.0*

You should better save your money and have a beer.

The app delivers exact (!) the data I need and what is missing in HealthKit. But - even if you buy premium you get statistics for 7 days ... noting more. No weekly stats, no monthly, no yearly.

The app description is not clear for my understanding and that´s why it´s a 1 star app for me.

### 2/5 — Not so great

*2020-10-27, version 9.0*

The widget on the watch is ALWAYS incorrect, even when I refresh/sync it manually. It seems like it screws up when I go over a target? I’m not sure, I can’t figure out what it’s problem is… unfortunately, this is the main reason for getting this app.

### 2/5 — Was great when it worked for a few minutes

*2020-10-03, version 9.0*

Loved it and did exactly what I wanted it to do. Downloaded it this morning. Hasn’t updated my burned calories since then. Linked and unlinked to Apple health, refreshed, everything. Oh well

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Works perfectly

*2023-11-20, version 10.1*

It’s a simple app that does what it’s supposed to do. It’s very helpful to keep me on track.

### 5/5 — Love this app, hope it’s still being developed

*2023-04-27*

It allows me to track weight loss without constantly stepping on the scale. It hasn’t been updated in a while. I really hope it sticks around. There’s no other app with this functionality.

### 5/5 — Exactly what I need!

*2021-11-28, version 9.2*

I needed a simple overview of my daily and weekly caloric deficit / surplus. I was experimenting with shortcuts and excel sheets. But both didn’t work the way I wanted them to. This app offers exactly what I need. Very simple and intuitive display of my calories. It’d be nice bonus feature if I could also track my weight.

### 5/5 — Omg thank you

*2021-07-02, version 9.0*

I’ve been looking for an app like this for many years. Finally an app that shows the true net calories and not just activity calories!! Perfect for calories in and calories out diet!

### 5/5 — 👍

*2020-10-06, version 9.0*

Very useful app to bring visibility into your daily calorie deficit/surplus. The only improvement would be an iOS 14 widget - any chance of getting it soon? 🙂

### 5/5 — Impressive work

*2020-09-20, version 9.0*

Offers everything needed for tracking dietary behavior change.

### 5/5 — Confused

*2020-01-11, version 8.2*

I love the concept of this but I’m so confused. The numbers in my “diet” section don’t match what I’ve actually consumed for the week... not sure at all where the numbers came from? I thought it would sync with myfitnesspal but the numbers aren’t matching what I’ve input there.

### 5/5 — What I was looking for

*2019-11-07, version 8.2*

I had started using HealthFace to enter in calories on my Apple Watch which tracks a daily calorie deficit for you, but doesn’t give you any historical info. This app fills that gap nicely for at least the 7 last days.

Also, I had a few questions and the developer responded within hours with answers.

### 5/5 — If you have an Apple Watch! Get this App!

*2019-07-27, version 8.1*

...and thank me later! Works great! Plus I love the idea of the Magic Bar to “level up” your weight loss!

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2019-04-20, version 8.0*

This app is exactly what I was looking for. Anyone who uses MyFitnessPal and is moving from a Fitbit to an Apple Watch will love this app. It does everything fitbit did with calculating calorie deficits all on a clean, easy to navigate interface. There are in-app purchase but they are 100% worth it in my opinion, as this is the only app I’ve been able to find that does this. Do not hesitate!
