It’s free, but it’s little more than a scam to get you to download other equally worthless “guides” for a price. It’s presented in a misleading way to make you think this the Academy’s official app, but it’s not. Really, the Academy ought to be demanding that Apple take it down from the App Store. This app contains a page of general text about the Academy and a few general photos with no descriptions. The amount of content here is equivalent to what you’d get from a small flyer such as you’d find in a hotel lobby. You’d get far more information by going to the Academy’s own website. There is no detailed information here, and in fact not even a map. The greatest emphasis is given to the ads for you to download similar “guides”, at a few bucks each. I accidentally bought one of them, thinking that I was downloading more detailed content for this app, and it was even more worthless.
