Build your understanding of California road rules with independent Class C permit knowledge practice. California DMV Permit Prep includes 100 original questions across nine topics: signals and intersections, lane use and turns, signs and markings, speed and conditions, sharing the road, parking and crossings, impairment and responsibility, safe driving habits, and permit and license pathways. Read clear explanations, follow links to California DMV guidance, and review three original simplified road-sign illustrations. Choose topic counts, enable optional timing, resume unfinished practice, and track progress locally on your device. The study guide explains selected California-specific rules, including crosswalk daylighting, current minimum liability insurance amounts, school bus exceptions, bicycle passing, high-beam distances, and distinctions between minor and adult permit requirements. DMV knowledge tests are based on the current California Driver Handbook. Application and test pathways depend on age and circumstances. This app does not claim one fixed official question count, pass score, or time limit for all applicants. App practice is mixed and untimed by default, not an exact official test simulation. An app score is not a permit or license. Study content works offline on iPhone and iPad. External source websites require internet. No account, advertising, subscription, or AI tutor. This is a selective practice bank, not complete handbook coverage or a pass guarantee. It does not include every sign, legal exception, fee, penalty, road-test maneuver, or renewal pathway. It is not CDL or motorcycle preparation and does not satisfy approved driver education, driver training, or supervised driving requirements. Read the full current handbook and verify your pathway with DMV. Independent study aid. Not affiliated with or endorsed by California DMV or any government agency. ## Pricing and in-app purchases Base price: Free. **One-time purchases** | Purchase | Price | Type | | --- | --- | --- | | All Questions | $0.99 | one-time | ## Is California DMV Permit Prep safe?
