Often inspections aren’t listed so I have to go to the county site anyway ### 5/5 — Orange County better *2016-09-24* Orange County actually goes in depth and lets you know what the facility did wrong. Contra costa has a lot of work to do but overall the app is still wet af kinda ### 4/5 — Helpful *2016-07-18* Nice to be able to check the restaurant I want to go to. I wish the color coded circles (green and yellow) were explained somewhere and that the violations were more descriptive. All in all every restaurant has its problems occasionally. At the end of the day, though, one never really knows when there will be a problem with food consumed in restaurants. It just takes a day for something to go terribly wrong and you end up with food poisoning. I like Dr. Oz's guidelines to avoid certain foods and always check the rest room (if they don't care about cleaning what people DO see, what must the kitchen be like?). ### 1/5 — Really? *2013-04-22* This is a terrible app. It shows write-ups on dates that some restaurants weren't even open for business yet. Also dates on inspections for every restaurant I have searched on so far are almost identical. As far as I'm concerned this app has no credibility. Do your own research folks...the health dept can't seem to do it accurately for you. BTW this apps shows closures for restaurants that went out of business and not due to health code issues.
