MEMBERSHIP
Core analysis is free. You can analyze your workouts and see the key issues holding your form back without a paywall. The free version includes limited coaching and improvement tips. If you want more guidance, a paid membership unlocks additional personalized coaching and improvement tips to help you keep refining your form.

USER PRIVACY
Form analysis runs on your device. The camera is used only for a live preview and on-device form feedback. Workout video is not uploaded to our servers and is not used for advertising.

If you create an account or use Challenges, we store account and challenge data so those features can work.
If you purchase a membership, purchase/subscription status is handled via Apple and RevenueCat.

We use the Meta (Facebook) SDK to measure and improve ads for Rate My Form on platforms like Instagram and Facebook. That may involve device and app-event data, and is subject to your App Tracking Transparency choice on iOS. We do not show third-party ads inside the app.

You can delete your account in Settings. Deleting the app removes local data on that device.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.1.3 — 2026-09-24

- Live workout analysis was crashing mid session — the technical term for this behavior is (checks notes) “extremely unhelpful during a squat.” We’ve moved the heavy lifting off the main thread, so your form stays on screen and the app stays upright.
- Redeeming a code and then waiting for your membership to catch up felt a bit like waiting for a gym buddy who’s “almost there.” Auto Sync now syncs right after redemption, so your access shows up when it should.
- Code redemption gets its own dedicated screen and a proper validation flow. No more mystery codes, no more guessing — enter, confirm, go.
- Subscription plans now only appear if they’re available in your region. If a plan wasn’t meant for your map pin, it won’t show up on your screen either.
- Prices now load according to the actual offer — including the discount percentage you’d expect to see. What you see is what you pay (minus the pleasant surprise of a real discount).

### 1.1.2 — 2026-09-21

- Promo codes have arrived. They’re available while purchasing an app subscription, so keep an eye out at checkout.
- Challenge completions now show badges for past dates, so you and your friends can look back at the days you showed up.
- Shareable cards got a glow-up. Add your own custom photos, choose your workout line and show off the stats that deserve a little spotlight.
- Challenge cards now open into their own dedicated screen when tapped. Because some challenges have too much going on to live their whole life inside a card.
- Push based exercise detection has improved, especially around sagging and peaking. In short: better form tracking, fewer mysteries.
- Stickmen on the live screen now render better. They may still be stickmen, but they’re stickmen with standards.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-09-09

- We’ve taught the app how to measure which ads help more people discover Rate My Form (hello, Instagram & Facebook) - without turning your workout video into marketing material. Your form checks still stay on-device.
- You may see Apple’s tracking prompt after onboarding. Allow or Deny; either way, the coach still coaches. Denying won’t bench your form analysis.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-09-04

- Challenges are here. Create one, invite friends and keep each other honest or at least slightly more accountable than last week’s “I’ll start Monday” plan.
- Sync a finished set to your challenge and watch progress show up for everyone in it. It’s like a scoreboard, but for people who actually care about full ROM reps.
- Form analysis still works without an account. Challenges need sign-in, because someone has to know who’s doing the pull-ups.
- We’ve also sanded a few rough edges so the app feels a little smoother between sets. Less friction. More reps.

### 1.0.5 — 2026-08-24

- Pull based exercises (pull-ups, chin-ups and friends) were getting a little creative with when a rep counted. We’ve tightened the thresholds and calculation logic so your set tally matches what you actually did, not what the algorithm hoped you did.
- Coaching cues and workout insights for those same pulls were also a bit off the mark. They’re sharper now, so when you’re hanging from the bar, the guidance is as solid as your grip (ideally).
