### 5/5 — Couldn’t ask for more

*2026-03-08, version 5.4.5*

What an incredible way to plan your workouts- the exercise list is an amazing reference in itself, and the voice option works well! Particularly like how the voice will read your notes too, super useful!

### 5/5 — Ótimo!

*2026-02-25*

### 5/5 — Love the app

*2026-02-25, version 5.3.4*

I don’t think I’ll find an app better than this anytime soon. It feels like it really cares abt your fitness in a way and it’s so insightful. It’s so pleasant to not feel like the app is just money hungry. I’m so grateful to the developers thank you

### 5/5 — Minor issues (resolved)

*2026-02-17, version 5.3.4*

Changing my review. The reason it switches is because they are supersets. I was just being dumb 😭

### 5/5 — Simply the best

*2026-02-15, version 5.3.4*

I I have ridden the fitness roller coaster. Athletic and 250lb, 5’10 couch potato stops on the ride. After a long stretch of illness, after being diagnosed, it was time to fix my body. I tried to just go Apple
Fitness plus but I kept hurting myself and not getting anywhere. I needed to take it a little slower. Be more targeted. Body weight, resistance bands, balance work, flexibility, cardio. I went looking for fitness apps. I tried em all. My wife told me to stop all the subscriptions. I found this app and canceled all the others. After some time I bought the subscription.
The incredible number of exercises. The trees. The video demonstrations. The complete and total control of everything. The way it gently leads your progress. My routines are HIIT, zone two cardio, balance, total body strength, isometric holds, yoga, and primal movements. My 53yo systemic illness having body is getting stronger, more flexible, and more reliable.
My wife said she was tight in a certain part of her body. I said use Calistree. Target that part using flexibility and do the stretches. She did. She felt better.
This app is simply the best.

### 5/5 — Meilleur application

*2026-02-02, version 5.3.4*

### 5/5 — Outstanding app

*2026-01-31, version 5.3.4*

I’m really happy to have found this app. Massive library of exercises, flexible programming, useful videos. Whenever I wonder if it has a certain function, I quickly find that it does. I’ve been making great progress since tracking all my workouts with it.

### 5/5 — Thanks for keeping the great features free!

*2026-01-13, version 5.3.3*

Amazing calisthenics app with very thorough onboarding experience (equipment, experience, etc). Great range of exercises, automatic routine creation, rotation suggestion, insensitive progression.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — 3

*2026-04-06, version 5.5.4*

I thought this was free

### 1/5 — Worth every penny

*2026-02-04, version 5.3.4*

I love this app! It’s the best on the market. I have used a lot of app for logging. This is by far the best.
It has so many options, and their customer service is on point!!!

I have been with them for 2 years. This is my dedicated workout app. Try it for a year. You’ll fall in love with it.

### 1/5 — Völlig unverständlicher Aufbau

*2026-01-02*

**Developer response:** We've made some important updates to the onboarding flow. Would you be willing to give it another try?

### 2/5 — For advanced only

*2025-07-26, version 4.29.4*

I love the format of the app, the videos, the reps. However, this is only for the advanced, and thereby loses out on the majority of potential users. Here’s an example:
Even with a handstand balance/ inversion skill, the most beginner level exercise that they recommend for it is tripod headstand, and the most beginner level for tripod headstand already needs you to know wall tripod headstand. A simple YouTube review would give at least 40 different pathways of progressions for a handstand. Often times there is a vast jump between progressions that depend on a lot of arm strength and make it very difficult to progress for older people or women or those with injuries say neck pain in the above case. So much potential lost due to insufficient progressions, transitions, and beginner level exercises. While there is a way to add your own exercises, it becomes self defeating/ demotivating if majority of the exercises are our own descriptions with no video. Wish the developers would stop treating reviews as though it is their fault or get defensive instead of using it as a roadmap to help more people and thereby help themselves.

### 2/5 — For advanced only

*2025-07-16*

I love the format of the app, the videos, the reps. However, this is only for the advanced, and thereby loses out on the majority of potential users. Here’s an example: there is not even a calisthenic skill called handstand, which is one of the most popular skills that people go after. Even with a handstand push up skill, the most beginner level exercise that they recommend for progression is a level 2 crow pose, with the second progression, a level three headstand push-up! A simple YouTube review would give at least 40 progressions for a handstand. Often times there is a vast jump between progressions that make it very difficult to progress. So much potential lost due to insufficient progressions, transitions, and beginner level exercises. While there is a way to add your own exercises, it becomes self defeating/ demotivating if majority of the exercises are our own descriptions with no video.

**Developer response:** Hey there thanks for your review! Handstand are definitely in the app, and there are many progressions too. I think what you're looking for is in the Balance category > Inversions. This objective includes the various handstand exercises.
We take care of adding as many progressions as possible and are proud to offer the largest calisthenics library ever made: 1500 exercises, and we keep adding more every year, mostly based on user requests.
Best of luck with your training! Louis.

### 3/5 — A bit too intense

*2026-02-02, version 5.3.4*

At 67 I feel the rate of progression, increasing sets/reps every session, is a bit aggressive for me. The 30 second rest period is a bit short for me as well. Slow, steady improvement is my goal, and this feels like a crash course. It would be nice if progression rate and rest periods were configurable. For example: add sets/reps every third session and set rest periods to 45 or 60 seconds. I like the approach and exercise choices, but it’s a little intense for me.

### 3/5 — Gute Übungen

*2026-01-06*

**Developer response:** We've now made important improvements to the onboarding flow, it's a lot easier than before :)

### 4/5 — Question actually…

*2026-05-14*

I love the ease of which to create plans, but my question is if we’re able to target specific areas when creating a plan. Specifically, my low back needs more attention than other areas due to back pain, and I know the muscles there and around the core need more work than my arms or legs. Is there a way to target areas when creating a plan?

### 4/5 — Excellent

*2026-01-22, version 5.3.4*

Better than many paid apps

### 4/5 — Need help with app

*2025-04-15, version 4.26.7*

I really like the app but can someone please explain how to hit done and finish a set without it moving to the next exercise. It does this before I’m done with all current sets on exercise and it’s very annoying

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great App

*2026-08-12, version 5.8.5*

I’ve been using this app for a while now and appreciate the level of content available as a free user. The progression tree really helps motivate me to keep working out.

### 5/5 — Great for Calisthenics

*2026-07-29, version 5.8.5*

This app is amazing at varied ranges of workouts, for me personally I tend to do my home workouts excluding equipment which Calistree supports allowing me to get on with my calisthenics exercises and also providing an in-depth overview of recovery physically on different areas of the body which is pretty neat. Overall it’s free for the most of it unless you would like optional extras it’s completely free all workouts and I would highly recommend!

### 5/5 — THE BEST

*2026-07-23, version 5.8.5*

I’ve tried a few calisthenics apps over the years but this one is the best I’ve tried. I had an injury and wasn’t consistent for a few months. I was looking which app to try and all the research I did pointed to this one. I’m so glad i downloaded, it is a great price for pro and is very straightforward and honest. Very generous free content and zero advertising.

### 5/5 — 1 Free Workout App

*2026-07-06, version 5.7.4*

I’m a 14 year old who recently started getting into callisthenics and this app has help me tonnes. It has helped me stay consistent with my workout plan and has improved my well being significantly. If you want a free workout app this is the app to choose.

### 5/5 — Excellent fitness app

*2026-06-23, version 5.7.2*

I love the amount of workouts this app has, the difficulty rating, the ability tree, the way you can edit workouts and organize routines, for me probably the only thing that needs to be polished is the recommended workouts after finishing a routine because it doesn’t always show a workout that is useful to the muscles group you are working with or sometimes ir recommends and easy variant, but in any case that is not a major issue and you can easily correct it or just keep using the workout you are currently doing. In the other hand you have more than a thousand workouts and they are easy to find and add to your routine which effectively makes this app the best I have tried for fitness.
Last but not least, it hast a one payment option which is a excellent option, specially in these days that everyone is asking for annual, monthly or even weekly predatory subscriptions, which I personally hate.

### 5/5 — Question actually…

*2026-06-20, version 5.6.7*

I love the ease of which we can create plans! Plus, get answers to questions. Super helpful and easy to use!

### 5/5 — Beste Fitness App

*2026-06-15*

Sehr geile App!

### 5/5 — The best app for Calisthenics

*2026-04-22*

All is in the title ;)

### 5/5 — My path to Fitness

*2026-03-31, version 5.5.4*

Loves this app since it focuses Calisthenics. Wish the editing workouts would a be bit easier. But once you understand the layout, you can change whatever you want.

### 5/5 — Calistree makes consistency easy

*2026-03-21*

I have been using Calistree for six months, I paid for the yearly subscription which is great value. I cannot recommend the app enough. Some of the benefits I’ve enjoyed: train consistently six days per week with no motivation problems; varied rehab for a rotator cuff injury that has made my shoulder much stronger; overcame back pain from work; made full body strength gains; learned new techniques like rings and Olympic lifts; made huge gains in pancake splits, my long-standing goal that I was stagnating on. The main strengths of the app: almost unlimited personalisation; huge exercise library; great community and frequent updates. Calistree makes consistency so easy.
