## What is Calitor?

Calitor is a calorie tracker app designed to get you into the app - and out of it - as quickly as possible. There is no need to enter in specific foods you've eaten and endlessly search through databases. Instead, this app allows you to directly enter in your calories consumed through an easy to use button interface. Easy in, easy out. All you do is adjust the number of calories you want to eat per day in the settings panel, and then you're ready to go.

Alternatively, the app has a settings section that will allow you to generate the suggested number of calories for you to gain, lose, or maintain your weight based on a few metrics you provide. This formula is the same one that the British Navy uses to calculate calorie goals for their sailors.

Either way, the app uses an intuitive 'count down' methodology. You're given the number of calories you have left for the day, and you subtract from that amount through the button interface. You always know exactly how many calories you have left and can plan your meals accordingly.

## Key features

### 1/5 — Fail

*2011-04-11*

You can't reset it... So it starts telling you that you had a negative number of calories left for the day. Otherwise, it'd be great!

### 5/5 — Basically What I Wanted

*2011-04-01*

This is a lot easier than most of the rest of the calorie counters. Granted, there's no information on how many calories items are, but it saves me time and effort from having to look them up, which I found annoying. Mostly I get the count from the box or the menu or online at the end of the day. There are few screens to navigate too, which is nice. I open it six or seven times a day, and this cuts down on my time in the application.

### 5/5 — Simple easy to use

*2011-03-30*

Wow! Thanks for creating something so intuitive and simple that it's quick and easy to use. It counts down my calories too! Not just up like most programs. Finally!

## Version history (last 1 release)

### 2.0 — 2013-07-09

- Renamed the application from Cal^2 to Calitor. It was difficult for people to search for an discover with the '^' symbol.
- New Icon!
- Updated to work on iPhone 5.
- Completely updated the interface to look more modern.
- Utilizes swipe gestures to navigate the app now.
- Fixed an issue where the day was resetting at 8pm eastern time. This should be resolved to reset at midnight local time.
- Added a short help, nutrition, and other apps section. I anticipate that these sections will be fleshed out more with the next updates.

Some things that this app is not designed to do:
- Doesn't track any calories related to workout it. This app is only for tracking calories.
- Doesn't calculate how many calories are in XXXX food. There are other apps that perform this function very well and would be more suited if that was your goal. This app isn't meant to be a food journal but rather a very quick way to track calories if that is your goal.

This current version doesn't do the following, but should in the future:
- Back up your information online.
- Provide a method for visualizing your information over time.
- iPad support.
