To complicate things is a mess wee cal jobs ,disappointing ### 1/5 — CalJobs Organization and Website *2024-10-07* I have tried to do everything they have instructed me to do. I have called them at least 5 times. They told me my resume was in the system. They did not include anything I said on my resume. They wrote wrong information. If they were trying to summarize what I provided a 7 year old could have done better. No employer is going to be interested in that. AND the list a jobs they provided for this 38 year insurance agent is everything from server at Chuck E Cheese, Mobile Diesel Mechanic to Software Architect or Traveling Radiology Tech. Not only am I not going to be able to find a job through this organization no employer is going to be interested in what they have done with what I provided. But the threats continue every other day to this or else! AND the website doesn’t work properly on top of all that. I click what I’m looking for and get blank screens. Call the office instead? They ask for your personal details for no reason, because afterwards they block you and want you to enter your information all over again. I’ve tried to get in touch with them, but they just redirect you elsewhere—claiming *that* is where the real representatives are. The design is different but the mapping of jobs is really unique. I got a letter in the mail saying I HAD to make an account with CalJobs or risk my benifits. Here is the run down that should speak to others like me: I tried putting in a claim of looking for employment elsewhere, but the darn edd websites never load all the way to submit my indeed job applications. So i end up putting ‟not seaching for work‟ to go to the next page. I was going to put it in the comment section all the hard work i was doing to find a better source of income... But bam! I could only use 300 characters. Wow... So i put instead ‟site not working, i actually am looking for work and submit thag every week on my claims just so the government knows i am at least responding. Putting lists of jobs will never go through in my opinion. Or not until the heavy traffic on thier site goes away. I got in the mail the written option to list out my jobs... But... Who do you even send it to? The mail gives you no return address and it costs stamps to mail them. I'm a millennial, where do you even get stamps? (Joking) but in this pandemic it is dangerous to go out, so what i have been doing is sending out my resume to every fitted job posting, and if they have questions to follow up, i can show them that. Fast forward to this app. They now sent me a mailer to register with caljobs but the darn login they made doesnt even work. I made my own on my computer, but it wouldnt go through. It was the stupid capta that made me redo it over and over again. I downloaded this app to see if i could at least make an account. I heard people having trouble on it and crashing so i put the bare minimum of information on it and got it to work! However, i cant add my work experience or education now that i made an account. Of course the app doesn't work right now, does anything government based even work when no one is using site? Here is my 2 cents: Learn from this pandemic! Instead of pouring money into the ‟economy‟ and the rich people, can we spend 1% of that on our government sites? Work with apple, google or design companies to make it easier for government operated stuff and helo all of us. All this running around to call centers who arent even taking calls or closed is just wasting everyone's time on things we could be done with in an hour. This app of course doesnt work, doesnt show jobs, wont let you upload an existing resume (who even spells it resume with the fancy dashes on top?) lets get it together app developers. Do your job so I can do mine. ### 2/5 — I can never open the app *2019-11-20* It will work fine for about 2 days. Then I wont be able to open it for another 4 days or so.
