I spent lot more f time making progress in the only for it to me lost out of nowhere. Technical support was useless and didn’t help in any way. Back when it launched, Call Me a Legend had that perfect mix of addictive idle progression, fun hero collecting, and actually fair PvP that made you feel like you were building something epic. It was one of those rare mobile titles that respected your time and didn’t punish you for not spending money every five minutes. Fast-forward to now and holy hell, what a catastrophic downfall. The game is basically unplayable unless you open your wallet. Every single update has been laser-focused on squeezing more cash out of players: The battle pass that used to be generous? Now it’s a pathetic drip-feed of garbage rewards while the “premium” track is locked behind a $20+ monthly subscription. New heroes? All paywalled behind absurdly low drop rates or straight-up real-money bundles. The free-to-play heroes are so underpowered they might as well not exist. PvP is completely broken. Top ranks are dominated by whales who dropped thousands and have heroes maxed out to levels that take normal players literal years to reach. The bugs are comedy gold at this point. Crashes during ranked matches (losing your points, of course), events that literally don’t work, and a “new” UI that’s somehow more confusing than the old one. The devs keep pumping out flashy trailers for “massive content updates” that turn out to be one new skin and a reskinned event you’ve already played 50 times. Call Me a Legend didn’t just get worse, it actively betrayed its player base. If you’re still playing this in 2026, you’re either a masochist or you’ve already spent enough that you’re in too deep to quit. Avoid at all costs. This isn’t a game anymore. It’s a predatory skinner box wearing the corpse of something that used to be fun. Be prepared to watch ads non stop! It’s really a great game with so much depth and there are always ways to improve your line up. You don’t need to pay to win if you know what you are doing, I would get to VIP3 just for the QOL improvements but I feel this game is worth spending a little on, but I know VIP 0’s that win cross server events regularly and are in their servers top 5/10, as long as you don’t focus on collecting all the beauties you can do really well. There are some improvements that could be done particularly for the longer serving players, add more sources of oil, add the stuff that has been “coming soon” for years like adding more to the lab, more cross server categories and more POL heroes, POL needs some love! I hope the new devs take note of what players want and make some improvements ### 5/5 — Heroes and Beauties and question *2021-10-02* I love the game and everything in it but if everyone is supposed to to get heroes and beauties and don’t want to always buy diamonds to get farther; I think that the ways players get shards should be double on certain beauties and heroes but not on special ones. Also, there needs to be more ways to get pieces in events like coming up with new buildings or use something like parenting as a way to to more pieces or shards. Why when you go to the outskirts in events you can only get a certain number of pieces for that event and you back the you go nothing but what is originally offered? I think that needs to change.
