It often doesn’t work as it should and it can take some effort to figure out how to get the paper to load ### 2/5 — Please change this policy *2025-07-07, version 8.1.0* In the Sports section, you used to show the Sports on TV listings in Central time, but now it is listed in Eastern Time. This is really inconvenient and quite frankly, a bit of a slap in the face. This is Texas, not New York. I have a digital subscription. Format is fine, but since I am a crossword puzzle user, I have to take a screenshot to do it. The Sunday one is impossible on my iPad, which is what I have. Also, the digital issue does not give you coupons. The subscription cost is too high for late news. I keep the subscription just because I have always had it. But I should cancel it. Would like quicker access to obituaries. ### 2/5 — Caller Times (cr)APP *2023-11-09* They did away apparently with the standalone E-print app. This app opens in an entirely new format and smaller viewing size (I use my phone). There is no more “Bonus” section to read at the end of the usual sections! It shows one available but it does not open! Not happy at all with it! ### 3/5 — Minimal content *2022-12-25, version 6.12.5* Very little Corpus Christi news. Plenty of local sports coverage. Text is too small and lacks a tool on the page to enlarge it. ### 4/5 — Corpus Christi Caller Times *2020-08-21, version 5.25.1* Though I no longer live in the city I’m enjoying my subscription to the Caller-Times digital edition. ### 2/5 — Keeps getting stuck *2019-12-14, version 5.22.2* After entering correct password which the app recognizes as correct, the app keeps returning to the enter password location instead of going to the account so I can suspend delivery. ### 3/5 — Editors need to be more objective *2019-01-04, version 5.14.4* The editorial board for CCCT is leaning to the left. If you like the left (progressive democrats) then you will love this editorial board. The editorial board refuses to be objective and the writing is proof. The sports and local news coverage is great. The CCCT would be a better paper if the editorial board was more objective and less favorable to one side. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — broken *2025-12-25, version 8.6.0* will not work on ipad. paid full year through itunes and it will not let me access paper ### 1/5 — Service overall *2022-02-02, version 6.10.0* I am becoming more and more dissatisfied and disgruntled about this “newspaper” service. Delivery issues aside, the shrinking of the paper to the absolute, bare minimum of 8 - 10 pages and, at the same time, increasing the price of service to $70/month is pretty outrageous. But then, to combine holiday weekend issues for three days, that just really rubs salt into the wound. If I didn’t have a dog that has continence issues, I’d have cancelled long ago. This is very inconvenient and makes this app very useful if it is not being updated regularly with local news as opposed to other news agencies apps. What’s the point if you’re not reporting the news. And to make it worse I may paid e-subscriber. ### 1/5 — Worthless *2017-12-04, version 5.3.3* The app works but there is no current content. Instead there are articles over a month old, apparently just to fill space. The print version is already empty. The only redeeming benefit of the digital version is that you do not have to recycle pounds of advertising. ### 1/5 — Limited Content *2017-07-29, version 4.12.1* This app has limited and outdated articles. The same "top stories" appear for several days. Navigating to other sections only reveals that the same articles overlap through multiple sections. What's the point of the "video" articles? They are one paragraph of content/information stretched out to a lengthy slide show set to music. One posted today was a brief piece regarding lane closures on expressway. This tiny traffic notice was stretched out and set to dramatic music with pictures. It is a nice combination of current local news, local sports, national headlines and comics, etc. We particularly enjoy This Day in History and stories about historical Corpus Christi. ### 5/5 — Simple, Specific & Suspenseful *2024-05-31, version 7.9.1* I’ve been reading CCCT since a youth throwing the paper in the 80”s along with other high profile newspapers. The format and layout is simple to manage in picking my areas of interest. The writing is specific and just detailed enough to give a full understanding of the article being read. The style of writing is thoroughly enjoyable as it’s not to heavy, and gets to the point and not redundant. It keeps me in anticipation for the next days news release, so that I’m ready and informed as I go through my weekly routine.
