The apps is nearly perfect apart from its calligraphy is not HD (high definition) therefore the print hasn’t the clarity of an HD apps. They are designed to be USED. You can tell the dev has experience practicing calligraphy, because the tools are all practical. No useless features here. I have practiced Spencerian and Copperplate penmanship for many years, and this app is the ONLY one on the App Store that even came close to what I was looking for in terms of practice and learning new alphabets. This app is pretty much perfect for what it does. If you’re on the fence, and have an Apple Pencil: get this app immediately! You will NOT REGRET IT!! They are both full of scripts, pen settings and so much more. I think the App icon may give the impression that the Apps themselves are too simple for serious learners - this is not the case. And while nothing can beat practising with a real nib, ruler etc, these great little programmes are a marvel us way of learning the form, look and feel of the various scripts and individual lettering. The ability to play around with the art side on this particular app is a huge bonus. This app does not allow it unless you pay extra. To me, I just paid for the full app and I shouldn't have to pay extra so the app can work at its full function. This only shows pictures of the letters and direction of strokes which is helpful. But you can get this for free on a Google search. I would rate this much better if they just gave me what I originally wanted and paid for. Don't charge extra to trace letters. The app allows me to go through the motions of saving but when I go to my photo library nothing has saved. I have tried to troubleshoot this myself with reinstalling the app, as well as restarting the iPad to no avail. There is also no official website or other avenues for troubleshooting except for iTunes reviews which I have resorted to, thus here I am.
