It was a full version that allowed you to write and copy anything over by tracing. But today I open it and everything requires a $10 payment even with the description of the app currently saying everything is free. So they went through the trouble of making a charge page but did not bother to update the app’s description. I’m almost certain I bought this app a long time ago and they are now charging again. Restoring does not do anything. ### 2/5 — Lots of great font options but not doable on iPhone *2025-09-06, version 2.9* You have a very well designed app with tons of options to learn about. Excellent. I must not have read the fine print. On my iPhone, it doesn’t support a pen, so my finger traces are too large for the small font size. Each of the few times I tried tracing the words, in crossing the first letter in the first ears, a T, my screen is swiped right and I get sent out if the practice page. Lille you need to have a greater margin away from the iPhone screen do this doesn’t happen. I have not been able to get past the first word. And I may not have read this correctly, but I don’t see how I can use and draw finger since he words are so small on my screen. Though I immediately asked for a life Membership, I will see if I can find another that is iPhone 12 screen doable. I use a PC and an iPad, but not with my iPhone apps. Again, you have beautiful app. Well thought out. I would like to improve my onesie one day to write that way. Oh, one other thing. Have a few tutorials on how to best practice, tine durations etc. I will then write out my message, take a picture and send it instead of texting it by thumb. I kindly suggest you not use commas after numbering your entries. Do away with the commas after a number, that is not as we would expect it. Use a period or non at all. 1. 2. 3. Only sometimes will the app save a draft if you accidentally hit the back button, “trace the alphabet” just gives you the text with weird spacing, when you change the size of the font, the grid does not adjust, the calligraphy pen doesn’t allow for the proper angle for the script fonts. Turning off the setting for drawing with your finger doesn’t change anything, tapping the screen with your finger will still leave marks. There’s no tutorial to explain any of this. I also don’t like that two entire categories of text are then Bible and can’t be deleted. Two stars for at least giving night mode. Not worth $10 by any stretch of the imagination. Edit: Feedback function in app also does not work, just gives me an error message in Mandarin and night mode only applies to the menus, not the actual calligraphy practice. This app lets me import my favorite Chinese text and format it so i can practice writing my Chinese with text above so I can see the text to write below. It is an awesome app. Many fonts to choose from. Easy to use. Though I am highly technical experienced and a power user.
