## What is Cally Calendar?

Cally puts the meeting you're in — and the ones right behind it — on your Lock Screen, so you can tell what's next without opening anything.

FOLLOWS YOUR FOCUS
Turn on your Work Focus and Cally shows your work calendars. Switch to Personal and it follows. You choose which calendars belong to which Focus once, and iOS does the switching from then on.

A LIVE TIMELINE, NOT A LIST
The meeting you're in sits at the top with a countdown and a progress bar showing how much of it is left. Underneath, the next events are strung along a timeline, so the shape of your afternoon is obvious at a glance.

DOUBLE-BOOKINGS, CALLED OUT
Two meetings in the same slot are marked "2 at once" rather than quietly hidden behind each other — so you find out before you're late to one of them.

WORKS WITH THE CALENDARS YOU ALREADY HAVE
Google, iCloud, Exchange — if the account is in iOS Settings, Cally reads it. There is no sign-in, no account to create, and no setup beyond picking your calendars.

ONE TAP INTO THE CALL
Meetings with a video link get a Join button right on the Lock Screen.

TOLD, NOT JUST SHOWN
Cally can buzz when one meeting ends and the next is up, even while it's closed.

YOUR CALENDAR STAYS ON YOUR IPHONE
Cally reads your events on-device and never sends them anywhere. Cally is free and supported by ads.

Requires iOS 17. Live Activities appear on iPhone.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.4 — 2026-10-01

Your meetings on Apple Watch: the Live Activity now shows the meeting title, time and countdown in the Smart Stack, plus what's next. Requires iOS 18 or later.

### 1.3 — 2026-09-29

The Lock Screen Live Activity is back to its Liquid Glass look, blending with your wallpaper. Plus bug fixes and improvements.

### 1.2 — 2026-09-27

Cally is now free and supported by ads.

• A single banner on the Today screen. The Lock Screen stays exactly as it was — no ads there, ever.
• Your calendar still never leaves your iPhone. Ads are served by Google, and what they collect is set out in the privacy policy.
• On first use iOS asks whether Cally may track you across apps. Declining changes nothing about how Cally works — you'll simply see less relevant ads.

### 1.1 — 2026-09-26

A calmer, more useful Lock Screen.

• Progress bar — see at a glance how much of the meeting you're in is left.
• Alerts that reach you — Cally can now buzz when one meeting ends and the next is up, even while it's closed. Turn it on in Settings.
• Tinted Live Activity — the Lock Screen card now carries Cally's colour, so it reads as yours at a glance.
• Clearer countdown — "ends in 32 min" instead of a ticking clock the Lock Screen couldn't keep up with.
• Finished cards step back instead of showing a number they can no longer stand behind.

### 1.0 — 2026-09-22

No release notes.
