I am enjoying the game but unfortunately I have to delete it. I got 45 levels never having closed the app. Closed it. And lost everything. The map doesn’t work and so I was placed back at square one. It just brings me back to the game :( ### 4/5 — Basic gameplay but that's why I love it! *2017-06-30, version 2.0.0* One can't accuse Jordan Pearson of being overly original with the story here (female protagonist whose parents are kidnapped, she goes to rescue them) however I can't help but be thankful we have a competent AND exciting game to play from the App Store. We live in a world full of games where the only way to progress at any reasonable speed is to pay through the nose or simply not bother, or those that are simply rubbish. Cally's Caves 2 however offers basic but smooth, fun and intuitive gameplay that's bright, colourful and works perfectly. There is a decent variety of weapons to use, a levelling system that actually feels like it is progressing and a good amount of in game power ups available to make coin collecting worthwhile. There are in app purchases but they're not rammed down your throats and are in no way necessary to enjoy the game and there are adverts however they're by far the least intrusive I've seen in a long time. First impressions, I love this game and mildly gutted I never played the original. ### 2/5 — Loved it, except the ads *2017-06-01, version 2.0.0* The ads in this game are atrocious. An ad every 10 levels? Sure. An ad every 3 levels? No. Towards the end it throws ads left and right and you can't even skip them. This made me lose all respect for this game. ### 2/5 — Very fun, but blocked. *2017-04-08, version 2.0.0* Since the coin count never adds (always zero), you can't purchase necessary game play elements (triple jump). Upsetting as I paid to remove the advertisements since the game was fun; but, now I am blocked from going forward at level 30. I really would love to play this again but it reminds me why I’m trying to go back to physical media instead of inconsistent internet things. The levels have the right amount of challenge, and the different weapons are fun to use. Getting coins is satisfying, and leveling up your weapons is also a nice mechanic. It's an entertaining platformer that is great to play in short bursts. That being said there isn't any revolutionary difference with this and most other platformers, so it is probably just what you expect.
