### 2/5 — No new stories for months

*2026-08-11*

Why aren’t there any new stories? Other apps like Sleepiest keep adding stories, but not Calm😡

### 3/5 — Calm sleep

*2026-07-22, version 2.2.4*

Calm sleep has music. I doh’t want the music

### 2/5 — Records LESS sleep than I actually do

*2026-06-23, version 2.2.4*

😑 Doesn’t take into consideration if you wake up and go back to sleep, so it constantly records that I only sleep 5️⃣ hours even though my Apply watch and Health App successfully record that I wake up and go back to sleep and sleep closer to seven or eight. Anyone else? Sleep sounds are nice tho.

### 2/5 — Biggy AF

*2026-06-02, version 2.2.4*

This app needs to recognize that some people go to bed after midnight sometimes. There are way too many bugs; most of the time, it gets stuck on whatever I did three days ago.

### 2/5 — Some features don’t cross over

*2026-05-18*

Got this because I mainly use Calm for its sleep stories but I’m sad so say some important features don’t cross over. First, you can’t make playlists like you can in the Calm app. If you choose a sleep story, that’s the only one you can listen to. Or, if you do a mix of things, that’s too bad in this app. Second, there’s no timer. So when you fall asleep you may still hear sounds and re-awaken. I was excited about this app and sad to see it fall short.

### 2/5 — Navigation weakness - Can’t choose from all stories

*2026-05-03, version 2.2.4*

As a former user of Calm - mainly for the sleep stories - I was very excited for this app and signed up asap.

Expected a few early issues but months later these issues are not resolved.

1. No way to find old sleep story favorites from calm without knowing name or narrator. There is no “all sleep stories” list of all like on calm app.

2. So often there are stories that simply don’t load when you click on them. Even when they are featured, like Harry Styles.

I gave two stars bc at least some stories work. But overall the app is a disappointment.

### 2/5 — Not much content unique from the original Calm app

*2026-04-22*

App is quite buggy, so the additional features aren’t all that useful. But, there are a couple sleep meditations on Calm I like, and figured, for a whole separate subscription cost, there would be more content. Maybe there are a few more stories? As far as meditations, there was nothing new. Nor in soundscapes. Not worth a second subscription for sure. Canceled during free trial and went back to Calm.

### 3/5 — What’s the point of this app?

*2026-04-19*

Found this app by accident whilst trying to work out why the main one stopped working.
Downloaded it, signed in using their oneID which implied I’d be able to use it & get hit with a subscription paywall.
Agreed to pay despite already being a fully paid member in the other Calm app, start exploring - nothing works. Nothing will play.
Not sure what the point of this app is other than being branded for sleep, but the main Calm app also has a sleep section, so I’m confused as to why you’d have 2 apps, with 2 separate subscriptions that appear to do the same things.
Uninstalled & cancelled subscription.

### 4/5 — Been great but . . .

*2026-03-30*

Some better integration with the Apple ecosystem is needed. Go to airdrop what I’m playing to the Apple HomePod and the sounds, music etc doesn’t transfer. Might play for awhile but cuts off not to long after. Same goes for main app too! Not sure if I’m doing something incorrectly or some sort of update is needed.

### 3/5 — Calm sleep vs Calm

*2026-03-09*

Calm sleep app I feel is designed by a different company or something compared to calm app. Calm sleep is not as user friendly as calm app was for me when it came to sleep stories and next suggested stories. Didn’t realize I would have to work harder to find stories in calm sleep than in calm app, calm app seemed to have the next suggestion ready.

### 3/5 — Calm sleep vs Calm

*2026-03-05, version 2.2.3*

Calm sleep app I feel is more as user friendly as calm app was for me when it came to sleep stories and next suggested stories. Didn’t realize I would have to work harder to find stories in calm sleep than in calm app, calm app seemed to have the next suggestion ready.

### 5/5 — Love this app

*2026-03-04, version 2.2.3*

Shellbear

### 2/5 — Nice but unnecessary for Calm users

*2026-02-05*

If you already have the calm app this is just a highly slimmed down version. It should really be free for Calm
Subscribers - it just adds a couple of reminders…

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — DOES NOT count total sleep hours if you wake at night

*2026-07-06, version 2.2.4*

😑 Doesn’t take into consideration if you wake up and go back to sleep, so it constantly records that I only sleep 5️⃣ hours even though my Apply watch and Health App successfully record that I wake up and go back to sleep and sleep closer to seven or eight. Anyone else? Sleep sounds are nice tho.

### 1/5 — Download don’t work

*2026-05-21, version 2.2.4*

I purchased the premium subscription and have followed all of the directions to be able to download sleep stories to listen to off-line and none of them work. The documentation seems very clear, but none of the troubleshooting options seem to actually work. Total waste of time.

### 1/5 — It sucks

*2026-04-12*

I used the regular calm app for years and loved it. When the new calm sleep app came out they stopped offering new sleep stories weekly on the regular app, saying the new stories were being released every week on calm sleep. So I then switched to this app thinking It would be better all around and I would continue or get new content. I rarely see a new sleep story, it definitely is not being released every week. The interface sucks, it’s so hard to use and it doesn’t offer a large library like the original app did. It’s a total rip off, making this app was a complete waste of time. Why do you need to laugh a specific “sleep” app when the original Calm offered it all? It sucks and I won’t renew. I’m so sad I paid for it to begin with thinking I was getting something upgraded but was sadly mistaken. Idk how it has over 4 stars cause it’s awful. Don’t waste your money.

### 1/5 — Subscription based app

*2026-04-06, version 2.2.4*

This is a subscription based app, which means you’ll never own it and will have to keep paying forever just to use it. No matter how well made an app is, if it’s a subscription based app, it is a bad app. There is no such thing as a good subscription based app. Avoid at all costs

### 1/5 — Not worth it being a different product from calm

*2026-03-21, version 2.2.4*

Why do you have 2 apps doing basically the same thing with overlapping features?

### 1/5 — Cancelling

*2026-03-02*

I can’t find how to cancel my subscription? I have been using Calm for a few years and love it but this doesn’t really offer me anything new. Help!

### 1/5 — Scam

*2026-02-24*

Total scam. After relentless in-app advertising on the regular (already expensive!) Calm App I decided to try Calm Sleep as it’s one of the main reasons I use Calm App. Sleep app appears to be the exact same content with a worse less intuitive interface. Cannot for the life of me figure out why I would pay so much extra for no extra content

### 1/5 — App is a RIP OFF

*2026-02-04, version 2.2.1*

This app is a RIP off!!! You pay ALOT for it and then it and get minimal information. To get music, etc. you need to pay ALOT a SECOND time to get

### 1/5 — Can’t login

*2026-02-04*

I can’t log in, as ridiculous as it sounds. I contacted customer support and they take their sweet time.

### 1/5 — Is there a way to tell it you hate a sound?

*2026-02-02, version 2.1.2*

The sleep sound it gave me is music but it sounds awful, like an orchestra not quite tuned. This is not going to help me sleep but you can only “heart” the selection. It doesn’t let you tell it to never play that again.
The second night it gave me rain with noisy barnyard sounds. Drowned out my partner’s snores but I’m still awake…

*2026-04-08, version 2.2.4*
