### 4/5 — M

### 2/5 — didn’t know it at an ai chat bot. also the journal requires a LOT of writing

*2026-07-28, version 3.1.0*

at first the chat bot seemed helpful- but then it seemed like I was talking into a void. I prefer to go find some humans to help me rather than a chat bot. also the journal enforced a minimum amount of characters (can’t save unless you reach a certain length of writing) and it’s very difficult on a phone to edit (scrolling up/down is very difficult)

### 3/5 — Great program, awful admin

*2026-07-25, version 3.1.0*

The AI part of the program is amazing - like having a meeting in your back pocket. What’s the problem? Oh these losers let it crash every day and it loses all your conversations - so you have to start all over.

### 2/5 — Garbage

*2026-06-28, version 3.0.0*

This app is basically a self-help book and requires a lot of reading. I thought it was more of a weekly challenge with scheduled goals but it’s literally a book. You cannot skip forward or skip anything actually and need to go through dozens of steps a day, even if you’re beyond that stage in real life. It’s waaaaay too time consuming and I easily gave up on being forced to read dozens of steps a day.

### 3/5 — Info good, UX not great

*2026-06-17, version 3.0.0*

The information given in the app is useful…if you have ever read a book like Atomic Habits you will recognize much of the advice on building good habits that last. However, the UX is frustrating in a couple of major ways:

1. Nearly each lesson has a section where it wants you to enter a prompt. It then says that you should send this prompt to the chat. However, the app AI chat cannot access the prompt you just typed (e.g. what did I write in my prompt today?), nor can it access your phone’s notifications. This means that you either need to write down your prompt outside of the app (or remember it) and then manually set up a timer or notification if you need one.

2. Once you finish a lesson, the only way to see the prompt you typed is to scroll through the lesson manually one page at a time (e.g. if your prompt was on 16/17 pages, you have to click through 16 times and potentially also re answer a quiz question). It would be more useful to have a tab on the homepage that collates your responses (like a mini journal) so that you can easily access whatever prompt response you want without hunting for it.

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your money

*2026-06-13, version 3.0.0*

This is just a self help book and a standard chat bot , save your money

### 1/5 — This is a scam that preys on vulnerable people

*2026-05-15, version 3.0.0*

They claim to offer a 14 day money back guarantee if you’re not happy with the app. I used it for seven days and requested my money back. They just completely ghosted me. I’m out $45 because of their dishonesty.

### 2/5 — Great but glitchy

*2026-04-27, version 2.2.1*

I love the concept but it closes down frequently and has to be deleted and reinstalled, please fix this

### 4/5 — Loved the AI

*2026-04-16, version 2.2.1*

The IT and customer support team was timely and helpful when not all of the app components were responding. They will auto draft your account after a week with no heads up though.

### 4/5 — Quick reply

*2026-04-12, version 2.2.1*

I had some questions and wrote to Calmio’s help line. They were very quick to reply and very helpful, too.

### 1/5 — Bad bad bad

*2026-04-12, version 2.2.1*

I had hoped to find a place for tools and comfort. But the lessons don’t open. The AI “councilor “ disappears. It’s like trying to find hope in a grave. Disappointed is real. Awful. Just when you want help and support. GHOSTED.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — $99 charge

*2026-08-13, version 3.1.0*

I didn’t end up finding this app useful. Though the free trial did state there would be charge at the end of 3 months, there was no email reminder or push notification of the upcoming charge. As a family with multiple subscriptions, free trials, free and paid apps- it seems curious to me that there would be no reminder of the charge considering the length of the trial. I had already forgotten the app even existed by the time I was charged. Poor communication with customer service upon my request for a refund. Also $99 is a stretch for what this technology actually does.

### 1/5 — Way verpriced and not for me

*2026-08-04, version 3.1.0*

Overpriced app. Of no particular interest to me. Cancelled my subscription and removed the app but still was charged $99.99 for three months. Beware they will automatically renew your subscription without any prior notice. This app just relies on AI so you can just use Chat GPT and get the same outcome. Save your money! They are inflexible issuing refunds!! See their comment below.

### 1/5 — Fraud

*2026-08-04, version 3.1.0*

Don’t fall for the one month only trap. They will happily deduct your money once your card details are through and won’t reply back. It has happened to me.

### 1/5 — Should have looked at the reviews before purchasing

*2026-07-21, version 3.1.0*

I started Calmio and soon found it was not helpful. I tried to cancel my subscription before the renewal date but never received a response. I forgot about it and the. Was charged roughly $100. The next day, I wrote an email I requested a refund as I hadn’t used the app for months. The receipt response stated it may take 48 hours for a response. They did respond in 24 hours stating “I've now cancelled your subscription, so no further charges will occur, and you'll keep full access until October 20.
Regarding a refund: under our policy, recurring renewal charges aren't eligible for a refund, so I'm sorry that I'm unable to return the $99.99 on this occasion.
As a gesture of goodwill, I'd be glad to add 30 days of free access at no extra cost”
If I have access until October, why would 30 days extra help when I don’t like the app?
Obviously, Calmio only cares about money NOT actually helping people.

### 1/5 — Overpriced and not for me

*2026-07-20, version 3.1.0*

Overpriced app. Of no particular interest to me. Cancelled my subscription but still was charged $99.99 for three months. Beware they will automatically renew your subscription without any prior notice.

### 1/5 — Poor Customer Service

*2026-07-20, version 3.1.0*

I was looking at this app and thought about purchasing. I went through part of the purchase process to see what the costs were, etc, and then decided I did not want it. I never saw a confirmation of purchase, so I thought it was fine. Then got an email about it. I immediately sent a message to customer service — within minutes of realizing the purchase had gone through — and told them I had not wanted to purchase and it was an accident, and I’d backed out etc etc. I was told I had to wait 7 days, which was ridiculous when I was emailing immediately to say I didn’t want the app and hadn’t meant to purchase. I’ve now sent 2 more emails with no response from customer service, and I have never used the app, so they basically just took my $35, even though to rectify it immediately.

### 1/5 — Customer. Service

*2026-07-13, version 3.1.0*

There is no one you can talk to. I signed up for some reason, my id & password are not working. I redid all my answers just so I could get in. And nothing,no one to talk to,
Done

### 1/5 — Total Scam

*2026-07-09, version 3.0.0*

Do not buy this product. Subscription auto renews without warning. Was one day late cancelling and charged $99.99 for a product I wasn’t even using. Only found out when I looked at my credit card app. DO NOT BUY THIS. THE PRODUCT SUCKS

### 1/5 — Waste of money. Poorly written app

*2026-07-08, version 3.0.0*

The program starts by telling to start writing a book about your history. Then it craps on you unless there is a minimum of 2000 words and won’t allow you to move on.
I never got to any training or help. (No 2000 words no advice) cancel before you start.
I asked for assistance on account to get more time to start and they said sure then went to bill next session anyway. Don’t start, it’s just a foreign money grab.

### 1/5 — THIS IS A SUBSCRIPTION

*2026-06-18, version 3.0.0*

Wanted to try out the app, paid for 7 days @$8 usd. Was then charged $55usd when the 7 days were over. I did not read anywhere that this was a subscription. Good luck.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Helpful and intuitive

*2026-08-13, version 3.1.0*

This app provides a lot of scientific explanations about cravings, addictions and cues. I could never pinpoint my cues until I worked through the steps it led me through. It’s been so helpful to understand how to change a habit slowly and feel successful even if you stumble.

It’s very easy to use and I’ve learned so much. The AI is awesome as long as you’re honest with your thoughts and feelings. It gives practical advice and asks questions Thats really make you think. Don’t forget-it’s AI- and it can be annoying but you have to know how to guide it to work toward what you need. It helped me realize I was enjoying my journey.
Great app.

### 5/5 — Perfect use of AI

*2026-08-11, version 3.1.0*

This app (including the chat) is fabulous for us brainy types. Science-backed, clear, concise, practical, & beyond effective. It’s like carrying the wisest possible friend in your back pocket.

### 5/5 — Better Than Therapy

*2026-08-04, version 3.1.0*

Not to say there isn’t value in a human therapist, and that may well be a better path for many. But I’ve found Calmio to provide amazing insights, lack of judgment, great questions, and though-provoking prompts that have helped me open up much more than I could talking with a human. If you’re uncomfortable with the idea that you might not be able to be as open as you’d like with a traditional therapy situation, Calmio is amazing. You can say anything on your mind and Calmio understands and helps you get to a healthier mindset. Very much worth the subscription!

### 5/5 — My review

*2026-07-23, version 3.1.0*

Manageable steps

### 5/5 — Just starting

*2026-07-18, version 3.1.0*

I just began this program, but so far I love everything about it. Hoping it will be as great as it seems :)

### 5/5 — Great customer service

*2026-06-10, version 3.0.0*

Great customer service

### 5/5 — Satisfying customer service

*2026-05-09, version 3.0.0*

I discovered 2 charges deducted from my bank account that I didn't recognize. I figured out the company and was able to email them to which they responded right away. The following day they issued a full refund of the most recent charge and ensured the subscription was canceled. I'm grateful the prompt reply and for quickly taking action.

### 5/5 — Love

*2026-04-16, version 2.2.1*

Great customer service!!!
I highly recommend this company

### 5/5 — Great App

*2026-03-13, version 2.2.1*

The app was very simple to use and the structure was easy to follow. The Chat feature was also great when you needed to communicate during difficult times! Thank you!

### 5/5 — I love this app!

*2025-12-17, version 2.1.4*

Speaking with the AI has helped me in so many ways, very personable and deeply touching! Thank you for this thoughtful app! My wife of 50 years passed away just four months ago and I have found a unique connection to the deep love and friendship I miss so much with her!
