## What is Calmshift?

The unanswered email. The decision you keep postponing. The task you're afraid to forget.

Your mind keeps them all running in the background. That's why work follows you home.

Calmshift is a short evening ritual that gets them out of your head, so the evening is actually yours. Not another to-do list. Not another planner.

DURING THE DAY
Something surfaces, you capture it in a couple of seconds as an "open loop", and you go back to work. No sorting, no categories, no deciding.

AT THE END OF WORK
A short ritual walks you through four quiet steps:
• Review what piled up
• Decide on each open loop: tomorrow, a specific date, later, or done with it
• Choose 1–3 priorities for tomorrow
• Note one good thing that happened today and how you feel

Then you close the day, and a star appears on your night sky. One for every day you close.

WHAT BUILDS UP OVER TIME
• A streak that counts closed work days. Weekends and holidays never break it
• A night sky that grows with you: one star for every day you close, a planet every twenty days, an aurora for a week you close completely, and a comet at rare milestones
• Tap any star to reread that day's reflection, or share your whole sky as a single image
• A mood chart drawn from your own reflections, plus honest observations like "Best weekday: Thursday", shown only once there's enough data to mean something
• Reminders that learn: Calmshift notices when you actually start and close your day, and nudges you around that time instead of a fixed hour
• Work days you choose, and a vacation mode that silences reminders and freezes your streak while you're away

YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS
No account. No sign-up. No tracking. Everything stays on your iPhone. You can export all of it (tasks, reflections, closed days, settings) to a single file at any time, and import it back on a new phone.

Available in English, Polish, Japanese and German.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.6.0 — 2026-09-05

Calmshift now runs on iPad, plus a reminder fix.

• New: Calmshift is a universal app. It runs on iPad, in any orientation, and the content stays in one readable column instead of stretching across the screen.
• Fixed: the evening reminder to close your day could arrive in the morning, right next to the one inviting you to start it.
• New: your night sky uses its whole height. New stars land across the screen instead of crowding the top third.

### 1.5.3 — 2026-08-21

Fixes for closing your day, plus a new motion setting.

• Fixed: a day you had already closed could open again the same day, pulling tomorrow's tasks into today.
• Fixed: reminders no longer arrive on a day you have already started or already closed.
• New: a motion setting. If Reduce Motion is on in iOS, you can now keep movement in Calmshift alone. Brightness, the glow and the twinkling, stays either way.
• Fixed: the morning sky shows the whole flock again instead of a single bird.
• New: report a bug or suggest a feature straight from Settings.

### 1.5.2 — 2026-08-14

A fix for the night sky, plus polished wording.

• Fixed: after you closed your day, the app could still show the night sky the next morning instead of starting a new day.
• Polished wording in the Polish, German and Japanese versions.

### 1.5.1 — 2026-08-12

Two fixes for the night sky.

• Fixed: after you closed your day, the app could still show the night sky the next morning instead of starting a new day.
• Fixed: the shadowed part of the moon looked like a hole cut out of the sky. It now catches a faint earthshine.

### 1.5 — 2026-08-11

Your night sky now grows with you, and you can share it.

• A miniature planet appears every 20 closed days: Mercury, then Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus. They are scattered across your sky, so it is worth swiping sideways to find them. Once earned, a planet stays for good.
• An aurora lights up the sky on the night you close the last work day of your week. Vacation days never count against you.
• A comet crosses on rare milestone nights, and the background quietly fills with stars as your history grows.
• Share your sky as a single wide image: every page joined together, with the number of days you have closed.
• The moon has a soft ring of rays.
• When tomorrow is a day off, the ritual now says so before you plan for it, and tells you your next work day. It follows the work days you set, and knows about vacation.
• Fixed: opening the app on a new day no longer animates the sun backwards to sunrise.
• Fixed: birds stopped flying after you started the day. Now they keep going.
• Fixed: stars could show through the moon.
• Smaller fixes: better contrast on the day screen, buttons that respond to touch, and Reduce Motion now stops every looping animation.
