## What is Calnexia AI?

Calnexia is a private calorie counter built for speed: your data stays on your device — no account, no ads. Now fully in French, too.

LOG IN SECONDS
- 4,900+ foods with fast, accent-insensitive search (English and French names).
- Barcode scanner powered by Open Food Facts: product sheet, portions, and container size (33 cl, 50 cl…) detected automatically.
- AI photo recognition: snap your plate, Calnexia estimates the foods and amounts (Premium).
- Free-text logging: "two fried eggs and buttered toast" is enough (Premium).
- Recipes: create or generate recipes and log a serving in one tap.

Fixed: on the setup screen, tapping Continue with an empty field did nothing — the message saying what was missing was hidden behind the screen. It now shows, and points at the field.

Also: an "Estimate with AI" button for scanned products with no nutrition data, or listed at 0 kcal. And when our AI service has a bad moment, the app says so instead of blaming your photo.

### 1.12.0 — 2026-08-20

Simple or Complete: you choose how much Calnexia shows.

Simple keeps calories, meals, macros and water on screen and tucks the rest away. Complete keeps everything exactly as it is today. If you're updating, nothing changes — you stay on Complete, and you can switch any time from your profile, or from the line at the bottom of the home screen. Nothing is ever deleted either way.

Also: if a scanned product shows zero calories, Calnexia now tells you before you log it, instead of quietly recording nothing.

### 1.11.0 — 2026-08-14

Calnexia now speaks French — completely.
- Full French translation across the entire app: recipes, filters, journal, stats and every card.
- Swipe down to close any sheet, from anywhere on it.
- New: Usuals — your most-logged foods appear as one-tap chips in Add food, with your usual portions.
- New: optional "Drink water" reminder.
- An empty journal now offers "Copy yesterday".
- Barcode results for liquids now display correctly in French.
- Products with no nutrition data can no longer be logged as 0 kcal.
- Clearer paywall errors with Try again, correct photo counter, and onion & garlic finally have their icons.
