### 1/5 — Not detecting pictures !!!!

*2026-01-07, version 1.2.3*

I paid for a year and now suddenly after a few months it’s not detecting pictures of food nor drinks . I still have couple months before renewal and it’s not fair that I see more than one review complaining about the same thing and nothing has been done . Scam!

### 1/5 — App not working

*2026-01-06, version 1.2.3*

Worked great for a few months but since Nov does not work, says food not detected. This is after I paid $40 for the 1 year sub

### 1/5 — Scam

*2025-11-18, version 1.2.3*

They have you buy the app for the year and after a few months it will stop working. There’s no one to talk to about the issue and it’s already way passed refundable date. Not a trust worthy app

### 1/5 — Not so great

*2025-11-17, version 1.2.3*

It was fun to know the calorie intake by a snap shot, but the calories showed doesn’t really seem to reflect the actual calories of the food. In addition, a lot of the functions need to pay for service. After trying 2 month, the apps photo function failed in the last couple days. It always shows “No food detected” no matter how times I tried. Since that’s the only ways to know the calories of food, the apps pretty much not useful anymore :(

### 2/5 — Not working anymore

*2025-11-17, version 1.2.3*

It worked well for about 7 months while paying the subscription weekly. Last week I decided to pay for a full year and suddenly it just stopped working. It doesn’t detect the food no matter how clear or the angle I take the picture, it just doesn’t detect any food at all. I deleted the app, downloaded it again, restarted my phone and nothing… I ended up asking for a refund for the full year subscription I paid.

### 1/5 — Worthless

*2025-09-20, version 1.2.3*

Often gets items wrong and there is no way to manually correct them.

### 2/5 — Horrible

*2025-06-29, version 1.2.3*

It only gives u three pics a day and u get more if u get pro but who wants to pay for pro

### 2/5 — Works if you pay for it

*2025-06-15, version 1.2.2*

Honestly it seemed good at first, but you can only take 1 picture a day. Unless you wanna pay 5 bucks a week or 40 bucks a year. It works but it feels scammy

### 1/5 — meh

*2025-05-29, version 1.2.2*

it’s good but i can only do two meals then it don’t let me do it i also thought there might be a search thing for me to put the meal on but there wasn’t. waste of my time honestly.

### 3/5 — My review

*2025-04-21, version 1.2.2*

I don’t think you should make someone pay for the app

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Works for a while then stops working all of a sudden

*2026-06-01, version 1.2.3*

I loved this app up until it stopped working one day. I tried to take a picture and it won’t detect the food no matter the angle.

### 1/5 — Scan doesn't work

*2026-05-29, version 1.2.3*

Can't even detect food

### 1/5 — App not capturing food image

*2026-04-07, version 1.2.3*

I just bought this today and it is not working. It doesn’t not capture images of any of the foods I try to add, I requested a refund and no response from this app.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2026-03-28, version 1.2.3*

It no longer detects the food no matter what angle I take the picture.ive paid for the full year and im so disappointed im not able to use it.

### 1/5 — Not worth the money

*2026-03-28, version 1.2.3*

Not worth it I just renewed my subscription by accident. It worked the first few months and after that every time I take a picture it says no food detected. I have tried multiple angles and nothing seems to work. What a waste of money.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2026-03-28, version 1.2.3*

Doesn’t recognise any food. I tried apple and toast. Nothing. Don’t waste your money.

### 1/5 — Unacceptable!!

*2026-02-05, version 1.2.3*

I bought a year membership which has run out! Now the app automatically without your knowledge takes money out of your bank account like it or not!

### 1/5 — Paid for the App, Doesn’t Work

*2026-01-26, version 1.2.3*

I paid for this app, but it does not work as advertised. I tried taking pictures and uploading photos of food, but nothing tracks properly. There’s no clear way to fix the issue, and if the app doesn’t work for you, there is no option to get a refund or get your money back. Please be very careful before paying and make sure this app actually works for you.

### 1/5 — Paid 40 dollars only for this app to never work!

*2026-01-17, version 1.2.3*

Worked the first couple months and then just stopped! It never recognizes the photos even when I get stock images offline!! Not one single photo. I’ve tried reinstalling many times and no luck! I’d like my money back!

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2026-01-12, version 1.2.3*

Downloaded this about half a year ago, was working great at first but now it doesn’t recognise any food I take a picture of. Tried updating, re downloading .. nothing. No way to get in touch with anyone to assist . Wouldn’t mind but I actually paid for the subscription and I’m currently getting nothing from it !

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Amazing Helper

*2025-10-01, version 1.2.3*

This is the ONLY, I repeat, ONLY AI calorie tracking app that I’ve found that will scan your food for free! Of course there’s a daily limit, but that alone separates this app from the rest of the competition. I think they need to add more features to compete with apps like my fitness Pal in the future but CaloPal is an absolute life savor for me when I have no clue how to enter my meal on other apps and when I go back to look at commissions, CaloPal is usually spot on. I think I’ll end up posting for this app in the future just to support the dev team. Highly recommend this app!

### 5/5 — Pro?

*2025-05-31, version 1.2.2*

Great app but how do I buy pro????

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2025-05-13, version 1.2.2*

Best app

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2025-04-22, version 1.2.2*

Amazing app is free

### 5/5 — Great!

*2025-03-15, version 1.2.2*

I was stuck at 209lbs for 5 years! I’ve been on a plan of 1300 cal a day and I have lost 10 lbs in 2 weeks!

### 5/5 — I wish it had more features

*2025-02-26, version 1.2.0*

I love the concept of this app, but I wish it had more features. For example, when I took a picture of fish, the app scanned it as chicken, and there’s no way to edit the food entry. It would also be great if you could log workouts and have more features that other similar apps offer. I’d consider paying for it if these improvements were made. Hopefully, future updates will include these additions!

### 4/5 — Absolute livid,wasting my time

*2026-02-23, version 1.2.3*

Absolutely trash I downloaded this app and it took me for a step-by-step on my weight height etc and I thought it would be good but when I started scanning and then it things turned around. The items didn’t show up scammed the most simplest things like an apple a banana and a cracker none of them wanted to show up

### 4/5 — Update request

*2025-04-21, version 1.2.2*

It would be better if you add a search item to search some items that I ate and forget to capture a photo of it before eating

### 4/5 — Im not sure if it is completely accurate

*2025-04-18, version 1.2.2*

Trying to gain weight and it will remind me to eat more and to help with a understanding of about how much I am consuming

### 3/5 — Mixed Results

*2025-05-25, version 1.2.2*

Overall, it is good at food identification. A few glitches such as reading cabbage strings as fettuccine, but that is understandable. My concern is its ability to assess portion sizes. For example, regardless of the amount of red wine in a glass, it measures it as 125 calories. Is this the case with all food and drink?
