### 3/5 — Too many ads

*2024-08-07, version 2.0.17*

It looks like a good app if you can afford it. The free version has an add every 3 clicks so it will take over 10 minutes to add 3 items to your log.

### 3/5 — Great App Minor issue

*2024-05-26, version 2.0.13*

I like the app and its worth paying for the extra features. However, the app doesn't include your steps and I reached out to the company and had no response. Hopefully they fix it.

### 2/5 — Inaccuracies

*2024-04-22, version 2.0.11*

Update: I’ve been using this app for longer now and it’s actually terrible. It’s confusing to use, half the time the bar code scanning comes up wrong which is the whole reason I even got it, and I logged a bunch of food one day then went back just now and it had messed up all the serving amounts I had inputted. The premise is good but it has a lot of issues.

The app is ok, but there are a lot of things wrong with it. It tracks overall daily calories correctly, but then when you look at the “meals” pie graph and the “nutrients” pie graph, the total amount of calories it says you’ve eaten all add up to different numbers. It was telling me I had 1,119 calories, 2,009 calories and 1,133 calories in the same day. So as you can see, it’s a pretty big discrepancy. 1,119 is the correct one and the one displayed on the Home Screen, but all the graphs where it shows how many calories you had out of your total are wrong. It also says “mustard active” instead of what I think is supposed to be “mostly active” under activities. There’s probably more stuff, but I’ve only been using this app for two days. My Fitness Pal is wildly more accurate, but they now charge a lot to use the barcode scanner, so that’s a nice feature on this app. I would like it to be updated so I can trust the information it’s giving me, but it’s not accurate right now. Also, it’s dangerous to eat less than 1200 calories per day, and it told me I should eat 900. It should be set to just stop at 1200 because 900 is not enough.

### 1/5 — Hate the ads

*2024-01-30, version 2.0.7*

You can have the limited version for free but the ads will kill it, so I removed it. Will try other apps without being bothered by ads.

### 1/5 — Confusing and Not Easy to Use

*2023-10-10, version 1.4.12*

I was roped into subscribing at $19/year subscription because the no pay version was useless. After a few days of trying to use this app, I gave up. I would try something else.

### 4/5 — Love everything except you can’t track your exercise from your watch you have to add manually

*2023-10-08, version 1.4.12*

Wish you could track your exercise and didn’t have to manually add. It only syncs with Apple health for steps

### 3/5 — Good but not great

*2023-09-24, version 1.4.12*

I like that it helps you do better at tracking your meals but it requires premium just to track macros

### 1/5 — Sketchy

*2023-09-04, version 1.4.12*

Immediately prompted me to pay for a full years service, and within the app there was no way to end the subscription or see that information. Predatory.

### 2/5 — Disappointed

*2023-08-09, version 1.4.12*

I don’t like this app, it’s not very intuitive or easy to use and doesn’t include a lot of the foods that I eat.

### 2/5 — Tracks Calories

*2023-08-05, version 1.4.11*

This apps does track the calories but the premium feature of adding in food items and calories thru A.I. needs improvement. The app has misidentified items multiple times.

### 2/5 — Scanner isn’t free!

*2023-07-18, version 1.4.11*

I was looking for an app with a free barcode scanner, this isn’t it!☹️

### 1/5 — Not working.

*2023-04-10, version 1.4.2*

Have been using this for over a month and now it won’t let me log any food. And I paid for the app. Not at all happy.

### 3/5 — Great app needs fixes

*2023-04-10, version 1.4.1*

The app worked well in the beginning I downloaded it about a week ago. I was able to add meals to my chart with no problem Now it won’t let me add meals. It’ll let me search up the meal but trying to click the + button in the top right won’t work to add will not let me. The app is good though if you want to loose weight , I like that you can count your calories but doesn’t work anymore. Please fix bug !

### 1/5 — Subscription fail

*2023-04-10, version 1.4.1*

I subscribed to your app and had to uninstall it due to it not working. And now you want me to resubscribe. Ridiculous

### 2/5 — Great but check marks aren't working now

*2023-04-09, version 1.4.1*

I love this app! Its let me log what I eat and manage my calories. It can help you loose weight without feeling like a diet. However I've notice just today that the check marks aren't working in the app when I try to add a food to a meal. I've tried googling the problem and seeing if it's just something with my phone but nothing has worked. I love the app and would hate to delete it because it all of a sudden doesn't work. I noticed they've added a new update today and I'm thinking it may be linked to that. Please just fix it please!!

### 1/5 — Was doing fine… then it didn’t

*2023-04-09, version 1.4.1*

Paid for the subscription… using it for two weeks, and then it just stopped working after the last update

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Self

*2025-03-13, version 2.1.8*

3 free days doesn’t provide any valid info

### 1/5 — Take money from your account but don't give you access to the app

*2025-02-23, version 2.1.8*

This app is really bad. They took my money for the whole year and they did not give me the access to use the app. Even after I request to get my money refunded, I didn’t get anyone to help me out with that so this app is like a scam.

### 1/5 — 🥱🥱

*2025-02-15, version 2.1.8*

It’s not free don’t try it

### 1/5 — So far, I’m not happy. Will NOT renew my subscription next year if things don’t change!

*2024-12-17, version 2.1.5*

There is absolutely no way that I have found to sync data between devices. I was able to find the “restore purchases” button so I didn’t have to fork out another $29.99 to download the app to my phone and one of my iPads. My phone and iPads use the same Apple ID.

The app is definitely not user friendly. I finally found the ability to look at past dates.

Scanning the barcode is useless, so far. I’d get more accurate calorie results if I’d take a guess.

The app doesn’t ask if I have any medical reasons for wanting to track calories and macronutrients. I am a diabetic. I can either ignore their very low calorie allotment or go to the hospital for not taking in some sugar whenever I have a low blood sugar spell.

The book is still out on how well this app performs. So far, that book belongs on the clearance shelf.

### 1/5 — Ads ads ads

*2024-10-08, version 2.1.0*

I wanted to try this app to see how it works, but there are so many ads, it’s insane. I couldn’t even get past the home screen—an ad pops up every two seconds. Anything you press leads to another ad. I literally deleted this app immediately.

### 1/5 — Ads won’t go away

*2024-07-07, version 2.0.17*

I’ve been paying for the ad free version for three months and last month the ads started popping up again, even though my subscription payments were current. This app is almost unusable with the ads, and no one from the company responded to me when I sent a customer service inquiry.

### 1/5 — Price

*2024-07-04, version 2.0.17*

I would like to know how much is going to cost me your app, before I download your app.
Thanks.

### 1/5 — Does this thing even work?

*2024-06-17, version 2.0.15*

I can't get a read on it with full screen ads blocking everything and no way to get around them

### 1/5 — Incorrect calorie inputs & ads

*2024-04-23, version 2.0.11*

I really wanted this app to work because of the annual price. However, the data is all so screwed up. When you use the barcode scanner, it’ll pull up the food item, but with all the incorrect information. The macros and calories are no where near correct.

The next thing is when I went to the free mode, the ads are RIDICULOUS. I understand the use of ads.. but there is an ad for EVERY FOOD ADDITION. When you click on a food to add it, an ad will pop up. I added 5 food items to my lunch and 2/5 of the foods didn’t post because the ad interrupted it. So I then had add that same food, and lo and behold, another ad would pop up. This is really stupid.

Do not waste you time with this app. Do not waste your money for the premium version. Just don’t get this app. Sorry Calowise, but you need to have major improvements.

### 1/5 — Not a Free App

*2024-04-10, version 2.0.11*

It’s misleading when an app does not charge upfront for you to download it, but it has no free abilities at all. You will need to purchase immediately before doing anything besides a meaningless survey to get your information before you find out that you have to pay a subscription. At least “my fitness pal” offers some free services without making you pay for the extras. This app offers you nothing but takes your information when you download it.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Calorie

*2025-04-20, version 2.1.8*

Counter App: Calowise

### 5/5 — calowise

*2024-06-10*

so many ads, i swear everytime i click something i have to watch an ad

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2023-11-28, version 1.4.12*

I did not realize how many calories I was consuming a day until I got this app. I knew I need accountability but I did not want to have to pay for a program. This is helping make better choices, stick to an actual serving size, and drink more water. I have not only made a normative weight goal but I have been able to maintain my weight. The reports are so helpful because my main purpose for weight loss was to be healthier.

### 5/5 — Literally amazing

*2023-03-06, version 1.3.7*

Free n it helps me be way more mindful of what I’m eating🫶

### 5/5 — Good but…

*2023-02-25, version 1.3.7*

This app is great but I keeps asking for vip and really wants me to pay from my perspective it doesn’t care that people want to lose weight and only cares about 💵 they only want cash

### 5/5 — Great app !!

*2023-01-29, version 1.3.2*

Lost 7 pounds in a month !!!!
I did the free trial which was great no adds & more features
Recommend this app to track everything you eat during the day with realistic results

### 5/5 — Weight loss program

*2022-08-12, version 1.1.0*

I have been able to control my appetite and eat healthier by using this program and app.

### 5/5 — Help

*2022-07-24, version 1.0.9*

I don’t even know how to use it this app

### 5/5 — Love this app!!!

*2022-07-04, version 1.0.6*

This app is so helpful and everything is free I love this app so much it’s has helped me loss and maintain my weight! Love it so freaking much ❤️ , love Maddie

### 5/5 — Use Every Day

*2022-07-01, version 1.0.6*

This app is so good, it's almost perfect. It has nutrition, activity, water, and measurement tracking, Put that all together and this app really meets all of my needs and took 2-3 apps out of my rotation, all replaced by this one. I only say it's almost perfect because I would love two things, they're minor but would be great. I would love to have more flexibility in the fasting schedules/tracking. Anyway this app is gorgeous! love it.
