### 4/5 — 2026 reviewer

*2026-08-27, version 10.31*

Great for counting calories, huge library of foods and great ways to break down most foods in calories per item when not having a serving.

### 5/5 — Long Time Results

*2026-08-27, version 10.31*

From once weighing over 220 lbs., I am able to maintain my present weight of 125 without a problem. I have used MND daily for decades to keep an eye on both nutrients and weight so I can stay both healthy and slim.

### 5/5 — Fun and Easy To Use!I

*2026-08-27, version 10.31*

It feels like a friend with whom I am “ accountable”. If I am tempted to ignore my goals I am keenly aware that I have committed to this program. It’s an easy to use program . You can take advantage of as much assistance as you want! I’m enjoying it!

### 3/5 — New update is a step backward

*2026-08-26, version 10.31*

I just updated and the app is much less intuitive. Searching foods, adding them to meals, all is more difficult, not easier. It’s also hard to read the interface, something about the borders and lines is different in a way that makes it hard for the eye to track what’s what.

### 5/5 — Why this one?

*2026-08-26, version 10.31*

As the title implys, I’ve used a few different trackers over the years, so I’m going to give an honest review of why this is the one I stuck to

They encourage healthy habits more then strict dieting, and their system will not allow recommended diets to be unhealthy low for you. You are given the freedom of many diets, and it’s easy to use and completely doable for free. Many features are wonderful for home cooks, letting you throw in you your frequent recipes as one meal to keep it clean and easy, and also having a great feature that lets you upload urls and will automatically create a recipe in app for you. In the few times this feature doesn’t work, it’s an easy copy paste away from making it work as they give you simple but detailed instructions for a 4 step fix right there in the app.

I love that the emphasize the importance of a week, and how a days fault won’t ruin your progress, and they remind you to look at the grand scheme, showing you a whole weeks worth of calories if you wish, or just exactly how many down you are so far.

### 3/5 — Measurement

*2026-08-26, version 10.31*

Be nice if protein powders where more options of measure. Well conversion calculator maybe!! In the app. Giggle

### 2/5 — Unnecessary complicated

*2026-08-26*

I spent more time eating a cup of coffee to the app, then actually drinking it.

**Developer response:** Hi there. Could you please specify what was complex about the app? It is important for us to have it accessible to all users. Please note there is a learning section under the Diet Tools tab that contains Getting Started video that quickly explains how to use the main features. Write to us at support@mynetdiary.com if you need assistance.

### 5/5 — Good accountability

*2026-08-26, version 10.31*

Easy to use

### 5/5 — Efficient and Affordable

*2026-08-26, version 10.31*

Great app for tracking and it doesn’t force the AI function on you. It’s optional and that’s great.

### 2/5 — Difficult to navigate

*2026-08-26, version 10.31*

I have trouble navigating and can only do basics like adding to my food diary for the day. I pay for premium, however if I have a question I have to ask ai which doesn’t answer my question. After asking in 3 different ways I get sent to purchase premium plus because I only get 3 chances. No thanks. I’ll look for another app.

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2026-08-25, version 10.31*

Overall this app has been very helpful in tracking what I’m eating and providing a breakdown of different caloric values of these foods. I like that it takes into account exercise on my apple watch and that I can scan the bar code of the foods I’m buying as I consume them to accurately track what’s in them. The app was recommended to me by a RD.

### 5/5 — Keeping me Focused

*2026-08-25, version 10.31*

I really like this app. I need to be disciplined when I’m on a diet or working out. This app keeps me in control. Already down 6lbs and I’ve only been using less than a week.

### 5/5 — Easy tracker

*2026-08-25, version 10.31*

It's easy to enter your calories. Like any healthy habit, you have to stick to it. But the rule is "if you eat it, enter it!"

### 5/5 — Calorie counter MyNetDiary

*2026-08-25, version 10.31*

I Love tracking my protein

### 5/5 — Best Calorie Counting App

*2026-08-25, version 10.31*

I don’t usually write reviews, but I wanted to for this app. For my money, this is far and away the best calorie counting app available, from a design and ease of use perspective. I’ve tried other options and just didn’t like what they had to offer. Entering and tracking meals is a cinch, and since February of 2026, when I first started using it, I’m down 52 lbs, with 6.8 more to go until my goal weight. I am not using GLP-1s because I can’t afford them. Even once I reach my goal I will be continuing to use the app to maintain. Several friends have commented on my weight loss and asked what I’m doing, and I always tell everyone about this app. I will be an enthusiastic promoter for life.

### 5/5 — Very useful

*2026-08-25, version 10.31*

I love it !

### 5/5 — Over 150 LBS Lost

*2026-08-25, version 10.31*

Lock in & count those calories

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Try hard

*2026-08-27, version 10.31*

Complex for no reason

### 1/5 — NOT FREE

*2026-08-26, version 10.31*

Free until you waste 10 minutes answering stupid questions and have to pay $60 to count some friggin calories. DELETED

### 1/5 — Not free

*2026-08-26, version 10.31*

Shame, download something that says free. Take the time to answer all the questions only to be brought to the billing page.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2026-08-23, version 10.31*

I was excited to use this and even paid for a year but it doesn’t work. It keeps telling me I need to sign in, even though I am already in the app. It won’t let me send diagnostics without signing in. I reached out to the help line and they keep asking for diagnostics. It looked cool but doesn’t work

### 1/5 — I hate it!

*2026-08-22, version 10.31*

I wish I could get a refund! What a waste of money. Very difficult to find ways to change what this app decides is the number to use. It is extremely time consuming to enter anything. If I could rate it less than 1 star, I would!

### 1/5 — Difficult to add your own recipes. Not easy to track calories.

*2026-08-21, version 10.31*

This app is not what it was advertised as. I cook a lot of my own recipes and do not use any oil in cooking. So if I have to search up a generic recipe my calorie count is way off.

If you just want to scan prepackaged food or things that are easy (1 apple) it works great. But adding recipes is a total pain. The icons are difficult to find and you can’t scan the text in a recipe.

Also, I bought this app because an AI search said it was good for tracking symptoms to discover food intolerances. But it’s really just a big calorie counter.

### 1/5 — Waste of time

*2026-08-18, version 10.31*

40 questions to tell me they want money for services I don’t want and they didn’t tell me they would be offering me at the end. Seriously, it’s a scam.

### 1/5 — Used t be a good app

*2026-08-17, version 10.31*

Unfortunately the san function no longer recognises common products barcode

### 1/5 — Money

*2026-08-16, version 10.31*

Makes you fill out stuff just to demand money tell me that before I download the app

### 1/5 — nags too much

*2026-08-16, version 10.31*

I liked the app but it kept wanting to upsell or convince me to do something new, or… It just keeps going. I bought the premium version thinking it would then leave me alone, nope. I just want to log my food. If I can’t do that without constantly being offered things then this is not the app for me. There are lots of others to choose from. And YES, I disabled all of the app preferences to try to stop this junk. How many times to I need to tell you that I DON’T WANT THE FREAKING LIFETIME MEMBERSHIP. Anyway, it’s done. I canceled the membership - time to move on.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — 100xs better than the other apps

*2026-08-28, version 10.31*

I had been using a different app (the blue one) for YEARS. Then all of the sudden, my data was gone. Since I wasn’t bound to any history, I decided to shop around before just restarting with the same app. I did a quick search on Google of the “best” ones and found this app.
It is fantastic! More food options to enter in the diary, better exercise entries. I realized that the other one has not improved in 10 years. AND this one is cheaper. Overall really impressed. I’m glad MyFitnesspal deleted all my info. I never would have jumped ship otherwise! Hooray for happy accidents!

### 5/5 — Best

*2026-08-28, version 10.31*

Easy… all foods are listed or you can scan barcode. Best app I’ve used!!

### 5/5 — Very helpful!

*2026-08-28, version 10.31*

Really like the app interface and all the customization. Great way to eat better and keep track of your food nutrients, calories and exercise.

### 5/5 — This is The One

*2026-08-28, version 10.31*

This is the app for me. I’ve used Noom and MyFitnessPal, and this one is worth every single penny. It has all the bells and whistles, and allows for customization. It’s simple enough for me to use daily and I’ve lost more weight by taking their recommendations. I had to increase my calorie intake and ended up losing more weight. 10/5 stars.

### 5/5 — Best food tracking app I’ve used

*2026-08-27, version 10.31*

This app is very inspiring. Low carb with no tracking had worked for me for 20 years, until it didn’t. Now that I’m pushing 50, I need to track all macros. This app does that easily. I’ve already tracked 30 days in a row and I’m 50% closer to my goal. No other app has kept me engaged that long.

### 5/5 — Calorie Counter MyNetDiary is the best app!

*2026-08-27*

Had this app for many years both as a paying and non paying user and it’s just the best way to track your intake. Scanning barcodes on products is a snap and if you find a discrepancy the turnaround time is a snap! Highly recommend you wont be disappointed

### 5/5 — Use it every day

*2026-08-27, version 10.31*

I continue to use this every day free of nuciance advertising. If you are serios about weight control this is the app. You must recognize that is the app that goes along with a subscription.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2026-08-27*

Amazing app, works well and very detailed!

### 5/5 — Very simple

*2026-08-27, version 10.31*

It’s very easy to understand and There’s a lot you can do without getting premium .But if you do get premium, the nicest thing is the meal scan

### 5/5 — Easiest and Best

*2026-08-27, version 10.31*

I’ve tried other trackers, but I always go back to this one. It gives you the most information and is the easiest to track whatever diet you happen to be on!
