## What is CalorieCalc?

Most calorie trackers want to be your social network. This one just tracks calories.

CalorieCalc is calorie tracking, stripped down. No social feed, no streak guilt, no premium upsells for the basics. The big trackers spent years bolting on community feeds, recipe blogs, and meal plans. We left all of that out — and built the one thing they're missing instead: weekly averaging.

WEEKLY AVERAGING (THE WHOLE POINT)
Most apps give you one daily number and shame you when you blow past it. CalorieCalc averages your target across the week, so a disciplined Monday actually pays for a Saturday dinner out. Pick how many days are "on" vs. "off" (e.g. 5/2), and the math handles the rest. No auto-adjustments, no color-coded warnings — just honest arithmetic.

LOG A MEAL FAST
  • Search USDA FoodData Central and Open Food Facts
  • Scan a barcode with the camera
  • Snap a photo of your plate — AI fills in the nutrition
  • Or just type "two slices of pepperoni pizza" and let AI estimate it
  • Save your usuals so they're one tap away tomorrow
  • Tag and organize your personal food library

WORKOUTS & HEALTH DATA
  • Pulls active energy, workouts, and steps from Apple Health
  • Or log workouts manually
  • Exercise automatically feeds the weekly math

PROGRESS THAT DOESN'T LIE
  • Weight log with a trend line that ignores daily noise
  • Lifetime delta and per-week trend rate
  • History broken down by calories, macros, exercise, and steps
  • View by day, week, month, or any custom range

PRIVACY & SYNC
  • No account required
  • Syncs across your devices via your private iCloud
  • Full CSV export and import, anytime — your data is yours

WHAT'S NOT HERE
  • No social feed
  • No friends, no leaderboards
  • No streaks designed to make you feel bad
  • No premium gates on basic tracking
  • No ads while you log, search, or review your history

AI FOOD ENTRY
The AI features — photo recognition and "describe what I ate" — are the only paid part of the app. You can either subscribe, or watch a rewarded ad to use them on demand. Everything else — search, barcode, manual entry, weekly averaging, sync, history, weight tracking, workouts — is genuinely free, no catches, no ads.

Built for people who want to track their calories, not their personality.
