### 1/5 — Do not use this app

*2015-09-10*

Worst app ever!!! The free version will only allow you to track half your calories before blocking you and prompting you to add the pay version!! What a waste

### 1/5 — Don't upgrade from within this app

*2015-09-02*

I tried to upgrade within the app. It took my money via Apple but would not recognize my upgraded membership. I want my money back!

### 2/5 — Wanted to love it...

*2015-04-25*

...but there are just too many bugs. Also the food library is somewhat disorganized and messy, and many items are inaccurate. There are lots of entries that are nearly identical and many of the major brands and restaurant chains are missing. Also, many of the foods listed have very inaccurate carb and protein counts. Some foods claim to have no carbs or calories even though they have plenty.

There are also some bugs when you try to edit food items. For example, the number values you type in will randomly round off to slightly different numbers. That's just more annoying than anything else. But certain things just don't calculate right. For example changing the quantity of a glass of red wine from 1 ounce to 1 glass does not change the number of calories that beverage adds up to.

Lastly, if you sync the app to Jiff you get tons of pop up messages saying "Error communicating with Jiff". It does sync eventually but the pop ups are annoying.

Overall, the UI is nice in a lot of ways, but there are just a lot of bugs to be fixed and too many other good competing apps out there.

### 1/5 — Crash after launch. Iphone 5 iphone5s ipad4

*2014-10-26, version 3.60.2*

Just crash after update!!!

### 1/5 — Very disatisfied

*2014-01-24*

Image shows that can scan but option is missing in the app.

No account creation option Data is saved locally and buck up option requires subscription.

After paying the subscription app doesn't register the payment and premium content remains locked.

I select this app in Jiff as my food tracker and now I'm stuck with it.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Less than Basic and overall bad

*2019-11-30*

Terrible interface, constantly asks you to upgrade to do even the most basic things. Everything is hard to find. The defaults made no sense, everything you add goes to some meal called “mid day snack” and then you have to move it an actual meal. It won’t connect to Jiff, even though it is supposed to...the whole reason I even used it! Would give it less than 1 star if I could.

### 1/5 — Will not link with Jiff

*2019-01-22*

Download this app since it’s the one Jiff recommends to link and input data. However, it does not link with my Jiff. I did not purchase the app, used the free downloaded version. This may be why it won’t sync together. I gave up after multiple attempts to the apps together and delete this app

### 1/5 — Next to worthless without upgrade

*2018-10-04*

Downloaded it at the recommendation of Castlight. But I can’t sync with my other apps or tools unless I buy them premium. My Fitness Pal does all of this and more and syncs with my Apple Watch and other apps without purchasing an upgrade. After about 5 minutes of being told to upgrade when I tried to turn on features, I just deleted it.

### 1/5 — DO NOT USE!!!!!!!!

*2017-10-04*

I have paid for 3 months of this app, but the full features still don't work (and request further payment).

I have sent 2 emails and never heard back. Very disappointed!! Bad service/zero communication!

### 1/5 — Sync

*2017-09-05*

I bought the three month plan and will not renew. The app does not sync from my iPad to the iPhone. App says to use Dropbox. That does not work. Basic app is ok. They need to fix the ability to sync.

### 1/5 — Crashes on Jiff Sync Event

*2017-06-27, version 3.93.0*

Title says it all. I bought the app to sync the food component with Jiff. It took a day and multiple attempts to sync the username. After 5 days I've yet to see the data transfer.

### 1/5 — Not so Good

*2017-05-12*

No up to date food info. App closes when ever i try to open it. I paid subscription so need to live with it.

### 1/5 — This app has potential...

*2017-01-31*

But since every entry is a chore, I feel like the designers are not making any effort to add food info into the app, relying on users to do all the leg work. Apps are supposed to be a benefit, not a dreaded chore.

### 1/5 — Great app BUT

*2017-01-09*

This app looked to have everything I was looking for. I could input my daily calorie, protein, carb and fat requirements BUT if I wanted to scan any foods to input quickly I would have to pay a monthly fee. Sorry but no thanks. I'll look elsewhere.

### 1/5 — Pretty lame

*2016-01-24, version 3.87*

Finding food is a hassle, there's little international items and the UI to add new one is really inconvenient.

### 5/5 — Calories, Weight, and no nagging!

*2022-06-21*

This was exactly the app I wanted. Simple calorie logging with search and easy entry yourself. Simple daily weight entry. Simple chart.

No nags, no snarky intro screens, no inaccurate calculators, no forced account creation or a whole bunch of ads or whatever.

Just a simple, effective calorie and weight tracker. Brilliant! Thanks for the app I wanted.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2019-11-20*

Continue to update & add foods have been adding things myself but don’t have label on everything

### 5/5 — Capable food tracker

*2018-05-06*

Works well. Many foods already in there but lacking some popular fast foods. But overall quite a capable app.

### 5/5 — Good app, but confusing versions

*2018-02-26*

Seems to do the job. Runs on my 3 devices & syncs. Scans barcodes quickly. Confusing having two versions - don’t understand the charges yet.

### 5/5 — Amazeballs!!!

*2016-03-17*

Finally!!!
An app where you can customize everything! It gives you suggestions, but you can change what you want to track (calories, fat, carbs, protein, etc) and set your own limits!

You don't have to choose a specific food if you want, you can just create your own meal and put in the calories and such manually. Then add it to favorites to use constantly 😃

Best way to track!

### 5/5 — Most helpful !!!

*2015-04-21*

The perfect help for accurate diet planning

### 4/5 — Il y a beaucoup d’aliments, de marques qui manquent

*2018-09-10*

Merci

### 3/5 — Not bad

*2015-11-22*

Doesn't update to other apps every day like it should and very little function without purchasing the upgrade.

### 2/5 — Problems

*2018-07-20*

Having problems linking with jiff

### 2/5 — Needs better database

*2017-12-03*

The tracking system is fine. It’s about as good as other similar apps. But the database is not good. It does not do a good job recognizing misspelled words and there are many foods from national chains that are not in it.
