The YouTube library does not include the full gamut of teachings that have happened. ### 4/5 — Question *2022-04-26, version 3.4* How can I download audio-only messages? Every week and weekends teaching should be there but their not. The midweek series are random and only teachings from a few weeks to a few months are up and also the weekend sermons are not consitent ### 2/5 — Needs some work *2017-08-02* I loved the old app, really enjoy listening to books of the Bible while commuting. I now struggle to get the sermons to download and play. Once playing, if you pause the sermon and try to resume at a later point it restarts the whole thing! Very frustrating but hoping the bugs are being worked out. When you look at a series you can't tell which one you've already listened to. When listening to a series you can't go back and re-listen to a part if you missed it. While listening to a teaching I wanted to go back to listen, I unlocked my phone and the teaching started again! On a good note it is easy to navigate and it is appealing to the eye. ### 2/5 — Unusable *2017-06-05, version 2.4* Love the messages but this app is in desperate need of a facelift. It's not even compatible with newer phones. ### 3/5 — Problems *2017-02-13* I love the messages but am having issues where the downloaded message breaks every few seconds. It makes it very difficult to get through the entire message. It's almost like listening to it on dial up computer 😳 ### 3/5 — I love the content but.... *2016-02-27* The app itself is almost unusable. It can't be paused with the earbud switch - including when answering the phone. When you do pause it (by dragging it out of your pocket and manually using the controls on the app), it will 'backtrack' several minutes when you restart it. One day I must have listened to the same five minutes over again four or five times due to phone calls interrupting it. Downloading new content should work in the background, instead of failing if you try to listen to another message while it's working... Or if the phone goes into lock screen during that time. It takes forever to launch the app - or it won't launch if you're away from an Internet connection. As previously mentioned, it doesn't advance to the next message when it should. It's a pity, because I'd really like to listen to a lot more from Skip, but I can't do it at work in good conscience because it requires almost constant fiddling. ### 4/5 — Should have been 5 stars *2015-10-15* Love the App been using it for 2 or 3 years now, and I love the fact that when I need God it works. However I have had it for 2 or 3 years and it hasn't been updated.... Like at all. Same old look, and when I try to turn people on to the app because it is so great they often don't end up using it because it's not exactly user friendly and it looks old... If you take the time and play with app you can pick it up, but most people aren't going to take that time. My only wish is that you guys update it. Apps are the future and this is a great app at the core it just needs some TLC. I’m blessed that we can still go online to listen, but I miss the old app. :( ### 1/5 — Skip is Amazing!! The App is Horrible :( *2018-08-16* The archived messages do not download properly; you cannot listen to an entire sermon without it looping back to the beginning every 2-3 minutes. The App doesn’t track what you have already listened to. I would love to be fed by God’s word daily via this App as Skip is such a great teacher. I turn my Friend to his app so they can get good preaching from a word driven pastor. All of Them really love the old app with his signature on it. The new update I REALLY dislike, very confusing interface, missing sermon resources. The old app had current radio series which is missing on the new one, along with a whole lot of other features. Keeping the old app on my other devices. Really sad :( ### 1/5 — Where are the devotions? *2017-07-11* I am not a member of the religion or Calvary church, but I had always been touched by the devotions that were given daily in the old app. It has helped me to better understand God and the Bible. Now all the devotions are completely gone. Both the weekly devo and daily devotional. What a shame! My wife still has the old app, so I told her NOT to update. God has truly blessed Pastor skip, but this update is slower on my iPhone 5 as well. We don't live in the USA where the internet bandwidth is great! Pray it goes back like before. ### 1/5 — Terrible update!! *2017-07-01* In the old version we could go to ANY sermon Pastor Skip had preached EVER and download and listen to it...ITS ALL GONE NOW!! Replaced with a very confusing display and NOW, if you want to listen to an old sermon...GUESS WHAT? You have to follow some link that takes you to ITunes where you have to now BUY his an entire sermon Series, in order to listen to just one sermon. WOW. So disappointed- luckily I still have the old version on my iPad - which I will not be updating. BAD MOVE. And in response to a previous reviewer, NO the app is NOT really free. Go try to listen to an old sermon... it will lead you to a link which requires you to BUY the whole series. NOT FREE. Maybe I will stick with John MacArthur's app which is truly free.
