## What is Cambodunum?

Immerse yourself in the world of the Romans using the Cambodunum App! 

With the app as your digital companion, the Archaeological Park Cambodunum comes alive: 360° videos take you on a virtual journey through time - into the oldest German city expliclity mentioned in writing. At more the 15 historic sites, scenes from everyday Roman life in the year 100 AD can be experienced up close. 

What did the Imperial cult district look like? What was happening at the Forum? In the Info-Tour for experts and everybody who wants to become one, an exciting journey of discovery awaits, featuring 360° videos, 360° photos with interactive hotspots, 3D Scans and more.

In the Quiz-Tour for the young and young at heart, Claudius Tiberius - whom everybody called Satto - tells you about his time in Cambodunum and presents interactive quiz-challenges. Try to solve as many as you can to gain glory and honor!

The interactive map always shows you, where you are and which stops are near.

Ortung funktioniert nicht, somit sehr mühsam

### 1/5 — Die miserable Ortungsfunktion macht die App nutzöos

Die App ist leider nutzlos. Die Stationsbeschreibungen können nur abgerufen werden, wenn die App meint, dass man auf einen Meter genau an der Station steht. Leider funktioniert aber die Ortung nicht korrekt, so dass ein Abrufen der Beschreibung nicht möglich ist. Warum ich nicht einfach die Stationsbeschreibung von Hand starten kann, erschließt sich nicht. Leider nutzlos.

Habe die meisten Stationen abgeklappert und die VR-Filmchen etc angeschaut und die Quizzes gemacht. Macht wirklich Spaß! :-)) Auch die 24\24 frei zugänglichen Tafeln vor Ort sind sehr informativ und spielerisch. Ebenso unbedingt lohnend der anschaulich teilrekonstruierte Tempelbezirk (auch für Kinder!) u für ältere die kleinen Thermen (Öffnungszeiten, Eintritt), Also nix wie hin! Pflichtprogramm für alle Latein- u Geschichtsklassen u halbwegs interessierte Touristen! Einziges - beabsichtigtes - Manko der App (daher 1 Stern Abzug): Sie funktioniert nur vor Ort. Also weder Vorbereitung noch Nacharbeit möglich :-(

In der Zwischenzeit noch ein Tipp: der Archäologische Park Cambodunum bietet in unserer App "MuseumStars" eine ganz tolle Lern-Challenge über die "Götter von Cambodunum" an, die speziell für Zuhause oder in der Schule konzipiert ist. Sie finden in "MuseumStars" auch viele weitere Challenges von mehr als 100 Museen, die zum Entdecken vom Sofa aus einladen und spielerisch Wissen vermitteln :)
