Between the constant crashing and locking up, the inability to add more than about 3 ft of counter space, and the “add a second picture” comparison option throwing the countertop corners way off from the original picture…. At least I can flip through the many color/design options on a small section of my cabinets to see how it might look against the color of the cabinets and walls. ### 2/5 — Buggy and freezes *2023-01-27* App freezes and closes. Would be helpful to search for design by name. By the time I get close to finding my desired color, the app is frozen yet again. Experienced this issue 3 times in a row. It’s so buggy that it rarely if ever works properly. It constantly freezes to the point that you have to close it and keep starting over. You can’t even go back or refresh! Again and again and again. It’s so odd considering the high quality of Cambria countertops and the level of detail they put into producing their product, not to mention the price tag. You would expect that the app would be more reflective of the brand. ### 1/5 — Great—if it worked. *2023-11-18* Great concept. Poor design. Awful execution. 1. App freezes frequently. 2. Can’t save a room. So when you relaunch the application, you have to start from scratch to scan tge room and designate where you want to place the countertop. 3. The app loads every single available counter pattern, making it tedious to scroll through the AR images. It would be more helful if we could filter designs, or mark a handful as favorites. You simply scan in your tops, and through your phone you can see how Cambria looks in your space!! If you’re comparing to photo shop, then of course it doesn’t measure up. But as a quick tool it is MUCH better than using a small sample by giving you an overall feel of how it will look. But don’t trust colors completely and be sure to get sample before you buy. ### 5/5 — A good blend between easy and realistic *2020-05-10* We found this very helpful. It took a little to figure out, but if you actually read the simple directions on the screen, it works very well. I thought it placed fairly realistic looking quartz on your counters. You can add backsplashes and waterfall to islands. I could only get four surfaces to render, but that gave us the look of the island, counter and backsplash. It did crash after 10 minutes of use, but easy to fire up again. Beats little quartz samples by far. ### 5/5 — Helpful app *2018-08-14* Works well once I figured out that I needed to put something with texture/pattern on my white counter to help the scanner find the surface; would be helpful to add that hint )to the tutorial. Drained my battery very fast but I suppose that’s normal for an AR app. I took screen shots to save the look of various patterns, would be nice if the app had a save or screen shot button to make this easier. ### 4/5 — Worked fine for me *2021-01-13, version 1.2.4* Its pretty cool! The app is not perfect, but considering how seldom we will use it, most of the shortcomings are not a big deal. The most irritating thing was that the app would almost always quit after I photographed one option. Then I’d have to start over and rescan the counter etc. That said, the app is still useful. ### 3/5 — Good tool but buggy *2023-01-26* Tried using this to get an idea how our countertops would look. I can do our island, but not our L-shaped counter (by itself - can’t find any way to combine island & counter). It’s frustrating that the app crashes so often. Would be nice to just save a layout and be able to get back to it & change countertops after a crash instead of having to start over.
