In need of an upgrade ### 3/5 — Good Mag, App needs work *2018-11-07, version 2.0.2* I have used the app to read the mag whilst travelling and it is handy not to have to wait until we get home to access the magazine. There is some extra content from the printed version. However could you please update the app so it remembers my password. Another gripe, in the UK the magazine downloads and is available off line. If I download it whilst outside of the UK I can read it but if I close the app it doesn't save it meaning I have to download it again to read whilst connected to the net, not always available and defeating the object of the app. Although reported to app support at the beginning of the year (2018) the problem is still present. ### 1/5 — Full of adverts and little interest *2018-09-26, version 2.0.2* App is full of adverts and provides little interesting reading. Having downloaded the magazine on many occasions I found it difficult to download the latest edition as the login page takes forever to appear. If you can’t get it right have a word with the camping and caravanning club theirs works. ### 3/5 — Disappointing *2017-05-30, version 2.0.2* This app used to be good but, since the beginning of the year (5 months ago!), it hasn't given prices. It just tells you to look on their website but that is not always convenient. Why can't they get this problem sorted out? This used to be a really convenient way to check sites and CLs but this makes it far less useful. ### 1/5 — Another CC Failure *2017-04-12, version 2.0* A great idea but very poor execution. The app is so unstable as to be almost useless! Content very good, even if it is just the paper copy but because the app keeps crashing it is pointless. What is it with app designers? With today's technological advances why can't you make an app that works? 1 out of 10 for effort. Update: April 2017 - The app is still very, very poor. The magazine fails to download correctly, the app fails to keep the member logged in and the when attempting to log in again all you get is the infamous white screen. Come on! It's the twenty first century please get this app sorted. ### 1/5 — Is anybody listening? *2017-03-18, version 1.1* Still totally unstable, but maybe no one cares? Potential to be a great app, but is near unusable. And now I can’t log in. The same username and password work on the club website, but not here. To the club: if you can’t make this work, then given your increasingly poor record with IT perhaps you should go back to putting all the content in a paper magazine? I’ve downloaded this app but can not sign in to use it, just won’t recognise my sign in details (which IS current) help is non existent. The club are obviously having trouble with their apps. Very frustrating ### 1/5 — Never able to login, for two years! *2022-04-28, version 2.0.8* UPDATE - got a response from developer apologising for long delay and that all was fixed now. Sadly, not! Still can’t log in to the app using valid credentials that I use regularly to log into the CAMC site. Several years now, trying unsuccessfully to get in the front door of this app. So, still zero points I’m afraid. Tried this app 2 years ago and it consistently rejected a valid login, and has done ever since. Wrote to CAMC at the time and they “would look into it”...radio silence ever since. Last updated 3 years ago, so clearly CAMC has zero interest in the app or people’s desire to read the magazine without contributing to paper waste. ### 1/5 — Not working anymore *2020-11-05, version 2.0.2* I downloaded this app over 3 years ago and it worked fine. I was able to download and read the magazine. It stopped working following an Apple update of the iPad IOS in October 2020 when it wouldn’t accept a valid login. This is very disappointing as I am now unable to choose to receive the magazine online only and reduce the amount of paper waste. ### 1/5 — One of the worst sites *2020-07-25, version 2.0.2* Takes forever to load, constantly crashes, won’t accept username or password and you have to reset password every time. One of the worst apps I have ever used ### 1/5 — Not working anymore *2019-11-07, version 2.0.2* When I first got this app it was ok to use to read the mag. But it does not load anymore. All I get is the opening screen and a error message that implies that the app has been coded wrong. ### 1/5 — Won't open *2019-04-17, version 2.0.2* I downloaded this app (I'm a member) over the internet. But when I tried to open it I'm told I need an internet connection and it simply hangs for ever. I obviously have one. And the other Club app for finding sites works fine. I see the last update was a year ago. If you have saved your password and email details on the device being used, opening/downloading is very easy. Works a treat. ### 5/5 — App is working OK. *2017-06-01, version 2.0.2* I downloaded this Magazine app to my iphone today, it installed with no problems, I logged in with my club username and pasword and I was easily able to download this months magazine for off line viewing. I don't know why this works OK on my iphone compared to the last lot of reviews that say it is no good! One recent reviewer seems to talking about the wrong app, this is the CMC Magazine app, there is another CMC Sites app which is good and allows members to find sites, book sites, see prices and current bookings etc. ### 5/5 — A good magazine app *2016-01-24, version 1.0* For a magazine app this is one of the better ones, we spend some time each winter away from the uk and having downloaded the app We got what we wanted...The Caravan Club Magazine.
