As long as it is just photo or video it will remote connect, but I need other shooting options like time lapse which it did not seem to have the option to use… May be I am the one at fault, but I read the blurb and it seemed to be saying (in my limited understanding) that it could do it. Then could not find a way to do it… The controls are relatively intuitive and I was able to shoot a small video, and quality was good. However I need the remote access and time lapse and this was not an option with this app. Not one to be completely avoided - if you need a remote video or photography function, but avoid if you need it to do other things like time lapse etc. ### 3/5 — Big time connection issue *2023-12-28, version 4.5.5* Nice app . The iPhone app crashes repeatedly especially in video mode. The Apple Watch app is just a blank screen so u can tap to take photo…sometimes, will start recording but will never let u stop recording, the preview only happen 1 in every 10 photos and that’s if u’re lucky the app didn’t crash. There is none of the functions..like switching between camera and video. I’ve emailed support and I got an automatic response. I’ve deleted and reinstalled many times. Absolutely stupid. if you leave the app at all, it says the lost connection instead of trying to reconnect. And sometimes you just can't get the connection back. It's totally useless. But if you need to capture longer video sessions you’ll need to look for a different solution. After a certain point the camera device (my iPhone in this case) stops recording and there is a pop up saying storage space is running short. This does not appear on the monitoring/remote device (my iPad in this case), instead it just says the connection was lost. The first time it happened I was only using 56% of my iPhone storage space, but I went through and cleaned things up and got it about 40% being used (and I have the largest storage capacity). Still had the problem. My iCloud storage was getting low so I upgraded that. I still can’t capture more than about 10-15 minutes I think. I can’t believe all the articles out there raving about this app! Even ones that have published just this month! I have tried so far 5 other apps that claimed to provide this capability, but each had its own flaws. This app is the first one that worked flawlessly, and as I expected it to. It captures pictures with the best quality your camera can provide, and stores it locally. Pairing the two devices is a snap, and works also on bluetooth if you don’t have wifi available. No need for internet connection. You can even remote control the flash. One thing missing is the ability to control the 2x optical zoom on the iphone X. I hope to see it in a future release.
