Thank you for finally creating an elegant solution. My only issue is not having an integratioh to stream directly to 3rd party. ### 4/5 — Feel like a god *2022-09-21* Unreal app that's way easier to use than the official GoPro remote. I once used it to control 15 GoPros for a filming project and it was a lifesaver. It is godlike control hearing them all come to life and record at once. My one complaint is the dated UI. Looks like something from 2005, and makes it very hard to operate with motorcycle gloves, but it works and it works well. Only about 5% of the time will the connection hang up but I can't tell if it's a GoPro or app problem. **Developer response:** Thanks for your feedback! ### 1/5 — Does not work with Hero9 Black *2022-01-10* The install video for Hero9 Black does not mention the required step for clicking the "Quik App". Camera Tools for GoPro Heros app hangs on "Connecting" (but the MacOS Bluetooth Settings state = "Connected", but still spinning). Latest update version on GoPro installed. This app does not work. **Developer response:** The app is fully compatible with the Hero 9. Have you paired the camera as shown in the help (https://www.toolsforgopro.com/cameratools_help)? You can also always contact me if you have problems. ### 2/5 — mmmm ...no protune, and no connection for Hero 4 Session *2021-11-09, version 1.2.0* I was looking for an app to set the "protune" settings for my cameras (Hero 7 White, Hero 4 Session). Protune not found for the Hero 7 and connection not available for Hero 4 Session. I'm using MacBook Pro M1 macOS Monterey 12.0.1 :-( Please update the app... let me connect also old cameras (like Hero 3)... and insert protune again. Then 5 stars, of course! To have full Pro Tune control from my phone again has me dancing in my pyjamas (Well it’s late when I was testing the app out). It also has a cool timelapse feature and allows you add multiple GoPros which you can control all at the one time. And compared to some other apps for the GoPro, this one still allows a live preview, so it’s perfect for when you have to setup your Pro Tune settings, plus check the photo/video composition, and it’s hard to reach your GoPro. Die Verbindung zu der App war mir weder mit einer GoPro 9, 10 oder 12 möglich. Im Grunde funktioniert diese App nicht. ### 1/5 — Product with potential with no support *2025-01-09* I came across the following issues: - When time lapse/photo/raw is chosen the download manager does not ‘see’ the gpr file. It only sees the jpg files. - There are several features that I do not understand such as “toggle’ option. No explanation is available. - I asked to transfer the license to a different platform. I was told it was not a problem but when I followed up with a request for help, I never heard from them. Da sind die Herstellertools deutlich besser. Harald is quick to reply and to help. I asked if he could implement the direct download of media to iOS camera roll and within a few days he’d done that. Buy it ! ### 5/5 — Finally, a solution! *2024-02-18* Because of the larger chapter file size on later GoPros (I have a 12 Hero Black) there is no way to upload large videos from the camera to the Mac without removing the SD Card. Apple Image Capture limits upload file size to 4.29 GB. iMovie seems to have a similar limit. In general, I think it's a bad idea to be handling SD cards excessively due to the risk of damaging them so I was looking for a solution for uploading directly from my GoPro to my Mac via a USB cable connection. This app is the answer. I had an hour-long video that GoPro divided into five chapters, each file about 10 GB. This app handled them without any problems and did it reasonably quickly, less than 20 minutes. Well worth $8.99 if you're trying to manage large GoPro files. Thank you! ### 5/5 — Finally a way to download bigger videos from the camera *2023-10-21* Finally a way to download bigger videos from the GoPro without have to take out the sdcard! ### 5/5 — Sending Back My Official GoPro Remote *2023-09-17* I bought 2 GoPro 12s for stereoscopic video, along with the Official physical GoPro remote. While it technically worked, the buttons are hard to press, screen isn’t backlit, and every time you use it you have to pair the cameras manually. Startup takes about 2 minutes of button pressing, and it often randomly stops working within 5 minutes of usage. This app however connects automatically, has 100x the control, stays connected (and from a distance), oh and it’s backlit. For 1/10th of the price it’s the best money I ever spent.
