The app is a complete waste of time. ### 1/5 — Doesn't work *2014-03-29, version 2.0.3* Didn't work at all. Phone recognized camcorder's wifi and connected but app showed no camcorders. Tried refreshing several times with no luck. After connecting via settings on both device and camera the functions given are minimal and offer no fullscreen modes. The disclaimer is the only function in settings gear icon. Overall this app gives you what it promises but for close proximity use it has an awful delay. It took following the instructions in the reviews. So I figured that with my iPad connected via my apple airport to my camera then the camera access app would be connected but attempt after attempt I can't get the iPad to see the camera. When first trying to use this app I recommend going to the cd that came with the camera. There is a complete instruction Manuel on the disc. There is a section "recording movies using a smartphone". It also works with an iPad. The steps are given in order. It worked the first time I tried it. If the steps are not done in order it will not connect. Write down the SSID and password for reference before setting up he process. The second time I tried it my device remembered the info, but it may come in handy in the future. This app is nice because it is not line of sight like most remotes. I put my camera in auto on standard quality. ### 4/5 — It worked alright *2014-01-20, version 2.0.3* I mean it takes some figuring out but it's simple when you get use to it. I won a Vixia HF42 so I just go to streaming and go to my IPhone's Wi-Fi setting and you should see you camera and you just go back to this app and add what Username and Password the camera gives you. ### 4/5 — Works *2013-12-20, version 2.0.3* It works well. It wont work though till u go to your phones wifi settings and select the camcorder first as your wifi source. So steps are 1) select smartphone streaming icon on camcorder. 2) go to phone and settings and select wifi then canon camcorder. 3) run app. Good luck. oh and app will be grayed out if your camcorder is not set up for "standard recording" under recording setup. ### 4/5 — HF G30 support *2013-11-22, version 2.0.3* Adding the Vixia HF G 30 would be an awesome addition to this application.
