Fare thee well, $2. Specifics: I have iPhone 6s+ w/ latest OS updates. Free version comes w/ 14 filters. Paying for full (1.0.3) version nets no add'l filters (nor anything else for that matter). Oh the humanity, etc. So far am maintaining faith w/ developers. Push'em to the left, push'em to the right, come on team, FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT! Captain slog, starred eight BR-549: Beginning to doubt initial strategy of trusting the Cambaggians. Could it be that, in this senectute digitalis, their "developing" skills have regressed to the lapis aetate? Ok, received reply from developers (thank you developers). Don't like the thought of paying two bucks for a handful of filters, but it's a useful enough kick in the butt to restore a more robust sense of caution in such dealings. Did anybody even test this app before its release? ### 2/5 — It's ok *2017-06-01* I have seen other apps in the App Store that allow more features. This app lacks it. Controls are slightly difficult to use. **Developer response:** CameraBag's focus is on getting great photos without a lot of adjusting complex adjustments. For more detailed photo editing, check out our other photo app, Fotograf! ### 3/5 — WHAT IS THE POINT??? *2017-06-01* I hate bashing and this is absolutely not my intention because I use lots of these developers' apps not only on my phone, my iPad, my Mac, and my PC, and for the most part, they are very good specially the desktop versions. This said, this new app doesn't do ANYTHING that Fotograf already does not do, and better. The only problem is that Fotograf has some bugs, specially with the clarity slider that if used frequently later prevents the picture to get saved. I am of the firm opinion, that it is best to improve and update existing apps to make them better, instead of just making new ones that have less features. I don't see how this makes any sense. Benefit to the user, zero, and benefit to the brand that is is in the policy of starting new projects instead of improving existing ones, also zero. Just my 2 cents.. and a half😬 **Developer response:** Hi there! This app has a different focus than Fotograf - Fotograf is more for people who want finer control and to spend more effort making detailed edits, CameraBag is more for getting great looks without a lot of fiddling, a lot fewer taps. You can't save an edited file? *2017-05-31* There is no saving of the image edits ? **Developer response:** If you tap on the thumbnail of the filter you want to save, there is a button that pops up to allow you to save (unless it's one of the 6 locked filters and you haven't yet purchased the in-app purchase). ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — A far cry from the original *2024-12-15, version 1.1.0* The first version was abandoned. The second version couldn’t hold a candle to the first. The third is an abomination. It’s been so long that maybe the original version that won’t run on modern iOS was just a dream…they must have lost the source code. ### 1/5 — Pointless on an iPad *2017-08-26* CameraBag 2HD is my go-to app for color and tone editing, but this new app is a waste of time on an iPad. CB2 will also not work on future updates of iOS as of Aug 2017. I so hoped for a better version than this. The best place to reach us is support@nevercenter.com; we hope you'll write in and give us your thoughts! ### 1/5 — Image truncated *2017-06-10, version 1.0.4* As yet the app doesn't display a full image when using photos from my library - about a quarter of the right hand side is not visible. Also, it only displays pictures (partially) in portrait aspect on the iPad Air 2. They will not rotate to landscape. So, at the moment, it's not useable, hence the one star. Very very very basic *2017-06-09* There are much better options out there to manipulate and have fun with photos. This seems like it was a class project. Only positive, there are smooth transitions. We'd love to hear any specific thoughts about what you think could make it a more useful app for you--please write in anytime to support@nevercenter.com! ### 1/5 — Camera bag 3 *2017-06-07* I absolutely hate camera bag the first time I ever had used it I deleted it so if you were going to get camera bag you shouldn't it doesn't even give you all of the filters you have to pay for some of them so I definitely would NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!! get it and if you do I would delete it because it is just wasting your money , space ,and ,time and I did try it **Developer response:** It's free! Try it, and if you don't like it then definitely delete it! ### 1/5 — Update not re-create. *2017-06-06* Not a fan of this model of not updating existing Apps and creating a "new", but not improved, versions and expecting long time users to purchase again. Not cool. They've done the same with the desktop software. Not cool again. Don't get me wrong, CameraBag 2 is an awesome App and syncs perfectly with the desktop client. However, I've already paid you twice and I will not pay a third time. Sadly, each "new", pay us again, incarnation have been major downgrades as well with less of everything. Fotograf was a huge step backwards and CameraBag Mobile 3 continues this unfortunate trend. Done. Over it. **Developer response:** Unfortunately, since CameraBag 2 Mobile is over 4 years old, we can't afford to keep updating it for free. We hope many find, like we do, that this new version offers some neat new things (easier to compare filters, better interface overall, improved filters), though we've trimmed back some things (after 4 years, it's obvious a lot of those old CameraBag 2 filters didn't exactly have longevity :]). BUT if you still love all the CameraBag 2 filters, by all means keep using it! That's one of the reasons we made this one free - no investment to try it, and you only pay if you also want the 6 locked filters! ### 1/5 — Crashes *2017-06-04* I take a picture and select okay and if crashes. I also noticed the file size (*of the app itself) is 1.6MB which if you know apps, seems WAY small! It seems sketchy as heck if you ask me! **Developer response:** 1.6 megs is actually right in the normal range for jpegs of this size using high-quality compression settings. What do you mean select ok, we're not sure where this happens in the app? Can you send us a bug report to support@nevercenter.com? ### 1/5 — Useless *2017-06-03* So many free photo apps that do more than this app. It is practically useless. **Developer response:** This isn't meant to be an all-encompassing app with a lot of controls, it's designed to help you get excellent results without having to mess with a bunch of little controls. If you want more control (but less ease-of-use), check out our other photo app, Fotograf! ### 1/5 — Not worth it all. *2017-06-02* I paid the extra $1.99 for what I thought would be "more" filters. This app is worthless. You can buy tons of other $1 apps with more and better filters. Apple and developers need a refund policy. Paying $2 for this app feels like thievery. **Developer response:** Hi there! When you use the app before the in-app-purchase, you can see all of the filters but they aren't all unlocked (if you tap on them to save an image in one of the 6 locked filters you would see that you are unable to save with them until after the in-app purchase).
