### 5/5 — ¡Excelente!

*2024-03-27*

Like others, I have tried many different apps and tools (you know the ones!), and now that I’ve started using this app, I am much more engaged, learning so much more, and feel more confident speaking Spanish. There are so many elements to this training that are helpful, grammar, vocabulary, ver conjugation. It is all encompassing and I highly recommend it!

### 4/5 — I like the progression.

*2024-01-28*

I like the progression of the lessons. I just wish the app would save your place when you close the app. It does show recent lessons, but it’s not very intuitive. Still, that’s my only criticism.

### 4/5 — Wish it had

*2023-12-16*

Wish it had voice detection to give you feedback if you are speaking the words correctly or not. Some Spanish words can have difficult pronunciation for me and I would like to know if I’m saying them correctly or not. Other than that this App is very helpful for learning Spanish

### 4/5 — Good explanations of grammar

*2023-12-14, version 3.0*

The grammar lessons in this app have good explanations.

### 5/5 — Aprendo español

*2023-09-29, version 3.0*

This easy to use app which includes a desktop version is thorough. Once you’ve chosen a membership category that suits you, you’re lead, with clear instruction about getting the most out of the App/desktop.

Reading, writing, listening and speaking are the bedrocks for learning any language. For me learning Spanish, Camino is one of the best resources I have at my disposal. The grammar, vocabulary, verb drills, quiz generators, audio and lesson progression is intelligent and engaging.

Native speakers in the podcasts is refreshing and absolutely necessary for any student. I would recommend this App to anyone lacking confidence in speaking and listening (understanding) Spanish.

### 4/5 — I use the grammar section

*2023-08-24, version 3.0*

I would recommend this app. If you wanted to test the things you learned from this app. I would pair it with the SpanishDictionary.com app, those two are a great combination

### 5/5 — A solid, methodical approach to learning Spanish

*2023-07-14, version 3.0*

Everything is covered, with lots of exercises to make sure you understand.

### 5/5 — A Great Resource for Learning Spanish

*2023-06-19*

Camino is a great resource for learning the basics of Spanish. I really enjoy the detailed descriptions in each chapter plus the quizzes test and reinforce what you’ve learned.

### 5/5 — Camino

Is a helpful app so far. Trying to learn Spanish and so far it’s been very helpful

### 5/5 — Beginner

Been using this for 3 days now and it’s been really useful

### 5/5 — Student

I recommend it to anyone who wants to get the knowledge of Spanish👍

### 5/5 — Helpful

*2023-04-02, version 2.3.0*

Easy to navigate, useful content

### 5/5 — Great App

*2023-03-13, version 2.3.0*

Really useful, detailed, thorough content that is extremely user friendly.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2023-03-12, version 2.3.0*

Wish you could get new questions for lessons periodically to refresh your knowledge

### 4/5 — Different way to study

*2023-02-27*

Very complete. It brings you up gradually. It doesn’t start with just vocabulary or how verbs are conjugated- it sort of all together. I like the complete package. I have done dozens of Spanish apps ( obviously a slow learner) and I really like this one

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Bad app

*2024-06-12, version 3.0*

This app is so boring and the voices are boring too, I can’t listen to this over and over. After Babbel and Duolingo this app needs a lot of work. Maybe even deleting and starting a fresh.

### 1/5 — Not USA able if you are blind

*2023-02-01*

This might be a very nice app for people who can see. however, the app developer did not take advantage of any of apples. developer tools to make this app accessible to the blind. if I want to take a lesson, I have to find a sightedperson to start the lesson for me. I am unable to pause or fast forward and rewind any of these lessons. if there are any buttons to pause, rewind to fast forward these lessons, I can’t find them. none of the links nor text in this application or tag my screen reader can’t see any of it. this entire app appears blank to my screen reader .

### 1/5 — Cost too much

*2022-12-18, version 2.3.0*

This seems like a great idea but costs too much for me.

### 1/5 — Just tell it like it is

*2020-09-29, version 2.0.2*

When I first signed in to this app there was a lot of content available to me free - or so I assumed. However today - there is no access to the content I had yesterday - now I have to sign up for premium. Just be up front about it and let people know they are only going to get the free content once - as far as I am concerned that is false advertising so shame on you

### 1/5 — Not that well

*2020-05-19, version 1.1.3*

I don’t like how the app functions and to me it’s confusing.

### 2/5 — Crash boom bang

*2025-06-24*

Listened to some of the content for free and decided to try the paid option for a month…or I tried to. Not a good sign when app crashes every time you click on the option to send the developer money. Two stars instead of one because it looks like there’s a lot of content, although I can’t access it.

### 3/5 — Better than Duolingo But Needs More Content!!!

*2025-07-15*

Overall this is good app. I would work on its UX design but still, good job!
I think if you (the developer) continue working on this app it can become smth much bigger…but now it has not enough content / options for learning.

### 3/5 — 3/5

*2021-03-27, version 2.3.0*

I understand this is an FSI based course and I was willing to pay to have Spanish audio in "better than 60s" quality. But after checking out a few drills it appears that not all audio was recorded by real humans, some audio is computer generated and actually sounds worse than the original one. That's really disappointing. Free material is still great though.

### 3/5 — Camino

*2020-12-04, version 2.3.0*

Very helpful app for learning Spanish, especially spoken Spanish. So in general I like it very much. What I dislike is the sense of being in the last century with regard to the Camino conversations and gender. I found them to be disrespectful to women. For example when John is dating a “gordita”. Really?

### 3/5 — Great Lessons, buggy quizzes

*2020-09-27*

I was looking for an app to brush up my spanish. This app is great. Totally worth the subscription price. Lessons are concise and told clearly. I’d say this is really effective for beginners. There are glaring errors in the quizzes though. Not really errors, more like case sensitivity that leads to confusion. In one question I had a wrong answer because one letter was not capitalized. This word was not the start of the sentence, nor was this a proper noun. There was no reason for it to be capitalized. Another answer was wrong because I didn’t type a space after the word. This was really confusing because no space was needed when i answered other questions. This can be incredibly frustrating and confusing for people trying to learn the language. Fix the quizzes and i’ll give this app a perfect score.

**Developer response:** Hello, we have removed case sensitivity from the quizzes and made changes recently to make them easier to work with. As to the other issue you encountered, if you could please message us and describe where you found the issue then we'd be happy to address it. Best regards.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Lessons are great

*2025-10-09, version 3.0*

I enjoy the app. Both the written and audio lessons.

### 5/5 — Amazing and great app for novices or fluent speakers!

*2025-09-12, version 3.0*

I have had this app for 10 years love it and great customer service!!!!

### 5/5 — Excellente

*2025-07-22*

Great learning aid. It covers all aspects of learning a language. The beginning units where you concentrate on pronunciation drills are a great idea in getting you used to hearing a new language. Part of learning a new language is getting your brain familiarized with new words and sounds. The interactive grammar lessons are very helpful in learning how a language is constructed. Some courses are only conversational in their approach. You’ll learn dialogues, but if you never find yourself in those exact situations, you’re out of luck. This course really teaches the language.

### 5/5 — Love Camino!

*2025-05-09, version 3.0*

It allows me to practice pronunciation, real-life sentences, translations, and grammar tests!

### 5/5 — If you use it, it works

*2025-04-26, version 3.0*

This app and the people behind it are an excellent source of Spanish language learning. But like anything else that is only useful for whatever you are doing, you have to use it to make it effective. I have been studying this app off and on for a few years. I am not like a super-student. So.

If you really screw up on a test or quiz, you can go back and make it better. And the tests are sometimes helpful to point out that you aren’t as smart as you think you are.

There was one part of the program that I did not think was explained very well (POR and PARA) and it was hard for me to put two and two together in order to make the lesson useful to myself. I did not get a very good score on the final test, and that totally took the wind out of my sails. That being said, if I want to, I can go back and study again and retake the test. It has been a month since I studied, and I am back at it.

The thing I like best about this app is that you can listen and learn and take your time. When I first started, I listened to the lesson about pronunciations of multiple-syllable words. I listened over and over. When I was told by quite a few native speakers that my pronunciation was quite good, my confidence spiked and I started studying with enthusiasm.

Sometimes I find typographical errors. But the people running this thing are very friendly and you can send them an email about what you found and they fix it.

Like I wrote in the introductions, this app only works if you use it. Give yourself time. I take notes in a little book, and that helps. Don’t be too critical of yourself or of the people who made this app. Learning a new language is tough for some people and if you aren’t understanding something, it’s probably not them, it’s you.

Sometimes I supplement this app with youtube videos made by other Spanish teachers, or with a text book I have. But I always come back to the app because it is their process I appreciate. Slowly and surely. Take your time. Absorb what you can. Eventually someone will say to you in Spanish, “You are speaking so much better! I can understand you!”.

### 5/5 — Better than Duo and Babbel

*2025-03-23*

Overall this is great app and its learning system. I would work on its UX design but still, great job!
Also, can you add more content like Verb Drills / catalog?

### 5/5 — Great app

*2025-03-13*

I haven’t bought the subscription but even without it it’s great. The grammar lessons are for free and you even have one test and one quiz for free for every grammar lesson. I’m whizzing through the grammar at this point

### 5/5 — I love this app

*2024-09-02, version 3.0*

Camino helps me with vocabulary and pronunciation. The repetition of the lessons helps me with comprehension. I find that what I learn in this app stays with me, even years later.

### 5/5 — Great App covers the important grammar

*2024-08-25*

This is a great App I have relied on it for years. It has helped me continue to master Spanish. I continually go back to this app to refresh aspects of Spanish. I have a life time membership and recommend it.

### 5/5 — Very helpful

*2024-07-14, version 3.0*

Infind Camino very helpful while I am taking a class in Spanish. The lessons are well laidnout.
