With that said it could have better filters for dogs, showers, etc. ### 2/5 — No Canadian sites *2016-08-12* This app has no Canadian sites in the database. Many US sites have no rate info. Will soon delete the app. ### 4/5 — Good app, with potential to be great. *2015-06-25, version 4.0* I originally posted a review with three stars, but I’m changing that to four based on the fantastic response from the developer to my suggestions and requests. Camping Road Trip clearly wants to make this the app that I love. I asked them to consider adding more options for personal annotations (e.g. "my favorite site is #23 for winter camping (full hookup, protected from winter wind) and #54 in the summer (great beach views).”) and to have personal ratings (I’d like to be able to rate a campground as 1 or 5 stars for me, without necessarily writing a review). They responded immediately with lots of great questions about how I would use these features and I feel very confident that they will do their best to incorporate my ideas into future versions. Very impressed. ### 3/5 — Seasoned RVers *2015-06-23, version 4.0* This app could be better! If you type in a town name it should give you the closest camps to that town - it does not. If you know the name of the campground then it's fine. ### 3/5 — Good Campsite Finding App but Not So Friendly Campsite Review. *2013-11-15, version 3.0* The good is easily use to find a campsite. The Bad is when you wanted to review and share your experience of the campsite you were visited then I gave up with very complicated app that is giving you run around. Unlike Trip Advisor, I have found it so easy to use . Hope Trip Advisor will develops RV Camp and Tent Finder as well as Motel around the world. ### 3/5 — Extremely Helpful. Sometimes Cumbersome. *2013-09-21, version 3.0* This app is a must have utility. However, like many of the other reviewers stated, the fact that after "favoriting" a site, you lose your search list and have to restart you search. Another annoying issue is that it always asks for my password even though i've checked the "remember me" box on the log-in page. These details are aimed at the developers. For the potential buyers, go for it, it's so worth it. ### 4/5 — Very good app for RV and camping *2013-04-25, version 3.0* I have been using this app for several days now. I am planning a Yellowstone RV trip, and all of the camping sites that I am planning on staying are listed in this app. Very user friendly. Quick response to questions. Does not show map on the app, but has selections to go to the website or directions. Lists telephone number to the sites. Lists amenities available for each location. Can locate by City, State or search by campground name. Would purchase again. Highly recommended for tent campers or RV'ers! ### 4/5 — Found some nice public spots from site *2013-03-23, version 3.0* I do not prefer commercial RV places. This app is good at finding public places. I do not mind the limited map capabilities because the app gives me plenty of information to put into the GPS. I find the app to be very useful. ### 4/5 — Nice app but SLOW and buggy *2013-02-03, version 3.0* Search on map feature is buggy and impossible to use (have to go to list function). There should be a "redo search in new map area" option as well. Also, I like to "favorite" campgrounds when planning a trip, but after I add a site to my favorites list, whatever search I was conducting at that moment is lost. Very disappointing. **Developer response:** Hi Lorobins, I'm sorry you feel Camp Finder is missing campsites. Have you checked your search filters? It's possible you're filtering out lots of campgrounds with your filter choices. I suggest you search without any filters to see if this is the issue. With over 19,000 campgrounds and RV parks in the U.S. we believe we're very comprehensive. However, if we're really missing any campsites we'll reach out to them and add them to our database. CampingRoadTrip.com. ### 1/5 — Showers and restrooms! *2015-05-30, version 4.0* The most important feature I'm looking for when trying to find a campsite is whether it has showers and restrooms. You cannot search for either of these things in this app. Come on. Waste of $4.00 for me, sadly. ### 1/5 — Camp Finder *2014-09-15, version 4.0* If I could rate this 0 stars I would. It is the worst of the 4 camping apps I have. Why? Because I can drive to the next campground before this app displays it. It is slower than slow. Even scrolling on the map is unacceptably slow. It's speed makes this app frustratingly unusable. ### 1/5 — Horrible map *2012-10-31, version 2.0* The map keeps flickering and not really responding to my interacting with it. There should be a button on map view that lets you search right there. I have to go to find screen and type in a city. If I want to look a little off to the side of my original search results, I can't just update the map. I actually have to find a tiny town nearby and go to the search screen and type it in. Every map interface needs an update button. Check out padmapper or roadside attractions. This app is a waste of your 3 bucks. It has never failed me. Quick to use, with all the filters I need I can easily find what I'm looking for. I have several other camping apps but whilst some of the others are useful, this has more information, more reviews and photos so this is my favorite. ### 5/5 — Extremely helpful *2014-04-22, version 3.1* Camp Finder is great for locating campgrounds. There are filters that let a person focus on specific attributes if desired. The Get Directions feature gives driving directions. The database of campgrounds is extensive. I really like that you can easily filter your search to only include campgrounds with specific interests (price, amenities, activities, etc) I love the app. It has come in handy many times and since using it I have been able to avoid sketchy campgrounds lacking basic amenities.
