I literally can’t wait for this summer. Imagine getting off work early on a Wednesday night, quick search for a camp site, 45 minutes late you’re in nature for the night. ### 5/5 — It’s Like Expedia For Camping!! *2025-04-03, version 1.1.1* As an early adopter of new products and services and apps I think that CampChimp has taken the highly fractured and discombobulated process of camping reservations and streamlined it into an easy to use and streamlined app. It is truly as simple as using Apple or Google Maps. Just type in the region of the country you want to camp in and the dates you would like to camp and instantly you see the best of the best options. The results are not limited to any one type of camping like federal campgrounds, but rather it includes those plus private land camping sites, RV parks, etc. Right on the app you can quickly see the 5 to 25 options around your geographical point of interest, see reviews, see images of the sites, amenities, etc. It simply boils down what matters to its most absorbable form. You then book your final camping reservation right within the app on the source of the listings checkout process. It is just like Expedia in the early days looking at all flights and booking your travel. As the evolution of apps continues we as consumers are looking for apps that truly simplify our lives, add value to us, and save us time and money or assisted us in achieving a goal. CampChimp will easily do this for us at $29.99 a year. Our most recent camping trip a month ago ate up likely 4 hours of time to find and book sites and that alone cost us much more than $30 as two of us were on it. It shows you all availability across all types. I can see private land as well as national parks. Easy to navigate and understand, it makes booking the right spot for the right dates a breeze. It makes it so much easier to search in one place for all open campsites for specific dates. It’s been such a huger time saver being able to do a single search to check for available campsites across all the big booking sites. Also, love how simple and straightforward it is to use. (Also love the bananas!) It would be great to be able to save or favorite campgrounds — I’ve discovered some new ones that I want to come back to for a later trip. Always excited for the next trip, but I hate booking. I used to have several apps open at once - checking each. If my preferred dates or campground weren’t available I would have to change the date and check again on all the apps. No more frustration with blackout dates you simply put your dates in and it shows you open availability. It’s so much easier to plan trips when using Camp Chimp. The journal feature is the best. It really keeps track of each trip, and easy to reference the best spots when returning to a campsite. Camp Chimp is all you need for finding availability on your next adventure! ### 5/5 — Game-Changer for Finding Campsites! *2025-05-03, version 1.1.2* CampChimp has completely changed how I search for available campsites. The interface is clean and user-friendly, and it saves me a ton of time by pulling listings from multiple sources into one place. One of my favorite features is being able to zoom into a map area and simply tap “Search This Area”—so intuitive and efficient. If you’re frustrated with how time-consuming it can be to find a campsite, this app is an absolute must-have.
