Many listed sites don’t exist anymore. *2025-08-26, version 9.1.5* I have been using this app for a number of years. It was the best for finding motorhome stopovers. Unfortunately now many of them don’t exist. There are a lot of reviews for stopovers that no longer exist. Unfortunately, Campercontact don’t seem to have edited these. It can be very embarrassing getting into the middle of a car park to find that it’s no longer a campus stop over. Come on, Campercontact Your app. ### 3/5 — Update please *2025-08-26* Doesn’t seem to be updating on price and availability. So many spots are closed and prices aren’t correct either. Leider wird mir auf der Karte kein Maßstab angezeigt. Das finde ich echt schlecht. Wir sind oft mit dem Fahrrad unterwegs und da wäre es gut zu wissen, wie weit ich z.B. bis zu einem Gewässer fahren muss. Mit einer Karte ohne Maßstab kann man keine Entfernungen abschätzen. Oder kann man den Maßstab irgendwo einschalten? 2.) Hochladen eines Bildes zu einem Ort bzw. Sadly, unless I am doing something wrong, it seems to be tailored to phones, whereas many users make use of iPads to navigate and search for sites and it’s really not easy, so I often end up locating a site on this App and the switching to another for the detail. Still not fixed with this latest update. This makes having favourites worthless. My payment for the pro version feels a waste. I’ve switched to using other apps that WORK. I may have to dump Camper Contacts if this fundamental issue is not fixed. Really irritated. It was once a really good app, but for me it’s useless now. 🙁 2025 update. Thought I would try the app again. Sorry guys, it’s even worse. Once you have searched an area on the map, you can’t search again without closing the app and restarting. I’ve cancelled my pro+ subscription now as it’s just not worth using anymore. I’m gutted. This was once my favourite app by far. Not anymore. 👎🙁👎 There’s no attempt by the developers to sort any of my problems. Shame on Camper Contact. ### 1/5 — Too many bugs. No improvement *2025-01-01, version 8.1.7* The app still contains poor navigation and too many very severe bugs which do not get resolved. It is an old software application which should be redeveloped completely. ### 1/5 — Offline? Then forget it! plus France Map Corrupt *2024-12-19* As of December 2024 there are 2 major issues with the pro version. First, If you are in a remote area with no data connection then the app won’t even start. So do NOT close the app completely in case you lose internet! Plus the offline map for France database is corrupted again and has been for 2-3 months. This first happened in April and took them 4-5 months to fix. Anyway the download is failing again at 85% as it did in April. Now tried it over 30 times, fails every time. Have reported bugs twice but no response from developers. Will try again in new year. The following is the sorry saga of the previous problems: The app works great when connected to the internet. However one the advantages up upgrading to the Pro version is the ability to download different country maps and data to use the app when offline. You should be aware the database for the France map is currently corrupted and will NOT download. It’s been like this for 3 months now, in that time I’ve tried it some 60 times. ALL the other countries download first time and work fine, only France always fails. (The developers keep telling me l must be doing something wrong, not enough memory or leaving the app etc. but trust me France will not download.) Others are having the same problem, there are a couple of threads about it on the Motorhome Fun blog. So if using the app offline in France is important to you, you may wish to think twice about upgrading to Pro. If you still have an old version of France downloaded for goodness sake don’t try to upgrade it. If the developers ever fix it I’ll re-review. Update summer 2024. The developers have finally recompiled the France offline map and it is now working fine. However bear in mind that you MUST NOT leave the app or allow your device to sleep whilst downloading the offline maps. The larger ones do take some time and be aware that they pause for quite a while at 85%. Also make sure that you have enough spare memory. France is best part of 1 gig. **Developer response:** Hi, thanks for your feedback. We' re sorry that your experience isn't great, but we continue to develop in order to keep improving the user experience. In our latest version 6.0.3 (now available) many of the previously mentioned issues are solved, so update the app quickly! ### 1/5 — Kapot *2024-11-15, version 8.1.5* Vandaag een update uitgevoerd, beter niet gedaan. Het appje is kapot en werkt niet meer. Je ziet “zoek in dit gebied” geen enkele plaats meer op de kaart of lijst. Dacht even om het appje te verwijderen en terug installeren maar dan werkt deze helemaal niet meer. Blijft hangen op het eerste scherm. Graag een degelijke herstelling, was heel tevreden maar nu??? Update: dat is niet leuk meer, geen internet, geen campercontact. Dus best waardeloos wanneer je ergens offgrid staat op aangeven van campercontact. Blijft hangen op het eerste scherm. Tevens zijn de gekochte routes zo goed als onbruikbaar. Het zou echt mooi zijn dat de aangegeven parkings in de beschrijving ook zichtbaar zijn op de kaart zodat je deze maar hoeft aan te klikken om er naartoe te navigeren… Update: 15/11/24 Nu blijft “zoeken in dit gebied “hangen na de update. Ben er klaar mee heb abbo opgezegt.
