I’m sure it’s just a bug but I’d love to see it fixed! Update: tried again many months later and still can’t get in :( sad but I still love the website! Update: over a year after my first review, with a new phone, it still won’t text me. I promise I know my phone number! I’ve been using my partners phone number, but I shouldn’t have to. Why do we have to go through numerous security checks just to log in?! Then when we get logged in, select the number of nights, click again that we aren’t a robot, then it drops us on the home page of the state site?! Like why? Popular destinations often fill up within one second of the booking window opening. Thanks to Campflare I was able to snag a site at Jenny Lake Campground in Grand Teton after receiving a notification that a site opened due to a cancellation. ### 5/5 — Can’t Hate It *2025-02-08, version 69.84* I love this app so much I had to write a review. I wanted a spot at Anza Borrego during wildflower season. It’s usually booked up 6 months in advance, but I was hoping to snag a spot within the month. I’ve only had the app on my phone for 4 days and I already got a spot in Anza! Although I requested notifications if a spot became available, I never got an alert on my phone. Huge bummer if you’re someone who doesn’t check apps unless you’re notified. Definitely an app you’d have to check every few days, depending on the urgency of your situation. I lucked up and truly appreciate these developers for making this. ### 5/5 — I’d give a billion stars if I could! *2025-02-08, version 69.84* We were late planning a multi-national park camper van trip last summer, hitting heavily trafficked parks in the height of the season. Using campflare we were able to book 4 nights at Yosemite, 3 at Sequoia, and 3 in Big Sur- all last minute. I don’t know what happened to it, but I’m devastated. This year I planned a trip to Glacier NP six months out, and wanted to change sites to east glacier from west due to wildfire smoke last minute. This app made it very easy. Then I had to cancel my entire trip the day before because the smoke got even worse, and I decided to try to go to Rainier NP & Olympic NP literally the afternoon before. Options were slim and most campgrounds fully booked out but I got sites at all the campgrounds I wanted. This app totally saved my trip. ### 5/5 — Bringing camping to the people *2026-08-03, version 69.86.69* This app has been very useful. I’ve been using it to find last-minute camping sites in California and it’s been easier to use this app to learn about last min cancels than the official apps from Recreation.gov or RserveCalifornia. Also love that it’s simple, no ads, free for all. There are other apps out there that charge monthly or annual fees.
