Campsight maps public campgrounds and dispersed sites across the United States, scores tonight's conditions at each one, and now plans entire trips — route, nights, and where to sleep along the way. PLAN A TRIP Enter where you're starting, where you're going and how many nights you'll be out. Campsight maps the drive, splits it into days, and finds campgrounds within about five miles of your route — and around your destination, where you'll spend the most time. Every night shows: · The city and state you'd be stopping in · An hourly forecast chart for that spot, on that date · Campgrounds ordered by how far into the day's drive they sit · Miles and driving time from where you started that morning Drag a night's marker anywhere on the map and Campsight re-routes through it, then finds new campgrounds around your new stop. FLY THE ROUTE IN 3D See the drive before you make it. A chase camera follows your route over real terrain — hillshading, contours and 3D relief — one leg per day. Play, pause, scrub the timeline or jump between days. Zoom in and it slows to a crawl; zoom out and it covers ground. Tap any campground, river or trail mid-flight and the camera pauses so you can look properly. CONDITIONS, NOT JUST LOCATIONS Every campground carries a conditions score built from overnight lows, wind, rain, wildfire smoke and air quality, with the reasons written out in plain English. No decoding a number. Set an alert on a campground and Campsight tells you when conditions turn. DARK SKY Light-pollution mapping, moon phase, cloud cover and aurora forecast, so you know whether tonight is worth staying up for.
