So many better camping apps out there! ### 2/5 — CRITICAL INFORMATION *2019-09-01, version 3.0.2* This app is lovely for the information it has. It is worthless for the information it does not have. For years the major RV directories have provided information necessary for a visitor to know basic utility facts about the property. Number of sites with sewer. Number of sites with 50 Amp power. Number of sites that will accommodate a 45' or 40' RV. Information about availability of included off site parking for a towed vehicle. These are BASIC facts about a campground many campers require. My motorhome has two 3000 watt inverters. The coach cannot operate on 30 Amp power. The only way to know before reserving and showing up at the location is to call the location direct. In the case of Thousand Trails (my park of choice) calling the location is not a reliable option. They let calls go to voicemail more than half of the time (rarely returned). The purpose of an online directory (I assume) is to assist a camper to his/her options when traveling. With this app all I can know is that a campground exists. The facts about the availability of utilities changes very slowly. A single audit would save thousands of phone calls and even more frustration for customers. Are the utility facts being made public a sales killer? Who benefits from a lack of knowledge ? I'm certainly not angry about this ...just disappointed. ### 1/5 — This app is great if your 55 *2019-07-12, version 3.0.1* I was trying to find a place in Arizona for us and all the ones that were around Phoenix are for 55 and older people only. So lame cause they look really nice. So if your 55 and older this app is great!! If not don’t waste your time!! ### 2/5 — New update. *2019-07-08, version 3.0.1* I had been using the previous version to quickly see TT and Encore Parks I wanted to go to. Now it is useless. I use the separate KOA app to reserve those parks and AllStays app to research others. I am a TT member and used the app just for convenience when planning the weeks ahead. I have been in the middle of searching for a campsite and all of a sudden the app suddenly stops and asks if I would like to report the problem. It’s not my internets the times that it stopped. Please fix this issue so I can rate this app better ### 1/5 — Useless *2018-05-10, version 2.3* This app does not allow you to distinguish between the various kinds of parks in the thousand trails system, which means you can’t determine which are covered by your membership. When you go to make a reservation, it only offers you cash rates not membership reservations. It is completely useless. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — MAJOR Permissions issues *2022-12-09, version 4.0* I liked this app however have had to delete it because of its insane permission problem. Every single link I attempt to open, and even when I am not opening a link, I get rando messages saying “wants to open CampUSA” I have deleted this and recommend others with the same issue do as well. Not sure why it’s doing that but it’s now affecting tons of other apps like LinkedIn and even Spotify attempts to open this. MAJOR, MAJOR problems with this. ### 1/5 — Worthless *2022-07-01, version 3.3.6* Cant create reservation from the app, still have to goto the site, and there is no url so i still have to look it up manually…. ### 1/5 — Needs work. *2022-06-02, version 3.3.6* Website and App need some work. Sign-up workflow on the app is a pop up and not a separate screen, so on a phone it’s really hard to see and read. And as of this review the sign-up process fails with invalid email address, a comment I’ve read in other reviews, no matter what you put in the email field. 😿 If you select a KOA site, the app does a redirect to the KOA mobile webpage in a web frame on the phone, not use friendly at all. The accompanying web site is not much better, no sign up workflow, page loads for selected sites are rendered improperly at times, and again, KOA sites are a redirect. When using the search by map, the side bar of sites will reload on scroll, and you lose the state information, which resets all the camp ground information. To me, it appears Thousand Trails has outsourced this to a contracting firm that’s done some copy pasta with the code to get an app out quickly, pretty common. 😾 ### 1/5 — Email issue *2022-05-24, version 3.3.6* Trying to create a new account to use the app an it keeps saying invalid email but my email is very valid an it's used everyday ### 1/5 — App won’t open! *2021-12-22, version 3.3.5* Don’t know the problem here, but this app will not open on my I-phone. So, I have to give it a big thumbs down- it’s useless to me! ### 1/5 — Not as advertised. *2021-12-01, version 3.3.5* This app was linked in an email from Encore Resorts, a company buying campgrounds all over America. This app at first look has their campgrounds (not any others) and KOA (must have money in them as well?)
