## What is CampVision?

CampVision AI works where your phone's cellular service doesn't.

Point your camera at what's around you. Take one photo. A vision model that lives entirely on your iPhone reads the scene and writes you a short, ordered plan built from what it can actually see. No cellular service, no account, no uploads.

THREE MODES

1. Emergency: you took a wrong turn on a hike and daylight is fading away. CampVision works the priorities in order: shelter and warmth, then water, then signalling for help, then food. Every step uses something visible in your photo.

2. Camping: camp is half set up and you want a second opinion. CampVision looks at your site and your gear and suggests practical fixes before dark.

3. Fun: the kids are bored. CampVision turns what's lying around into a few games you can start in the next five minutes.

ONE PHOTO IS THE WHOLE INTERFACE

Frame your surroundings. Tap the shutter. CampVision names the spot, lists what it can see, and gives you numbered steps: each one a single action tied to something in the frame. Depending on your iPhone, a plan takes anywhere from about ten seconds to a minute.

Every plan is kept on your phone as a card you can come back to. Nothing syncs, nothing expires, and nothing is shared unless you choose to share it. When you do, CampVision builds the card on the phone, so AirDropping it to the person next to you works with no signal either.

ACTUALLY OFFLINE

The model runs on your iPhone's own chip. Once it's set up, put the phone in airplane mode, walk deep into the forest, and CampVision behaves exactly the same. Your photos never leave the device, because there is nowhere for them to go.

ONE DOWNLOAD, ONCE. DO IT BEFORE YOU LEAVE.

The first time you open CampVision it downloads its model: about 545 MB. It shows progress the whole way, it can be paused and resumed, and it only ever happens once. Please do it at home on Wi-Fi or cellular. 

On a newer iPhone with 6 GB of memory or more, Settings offers an optional Sharper model (about 1.7 GB) that picks up more detail.

WHAT YOU NEED

An iPhone with at least 4 GB of memory. iPhone 12 or later is the comfortable floor, and newer is faster. Older iPhones can run the Standard model, just more slowly. About 1 GB of free space. And Wi-Fi, once.

WHAT THIS IS

CampVision is an aid. It is not a rescue service and it is not a substitute for training, preparation, proper gear, or your own judgement.

It runs a small vision model on a phone, and it can be wrong. It sees one photo. It doesn't know the forecast, your injuries, or what's over the next ridge.

If you can reach anyone at all, call emergency services first. The app says so, in its own words, every single time you use Emergency mode. That text is written into the app; the model cannot talk you out of it.

Never eat plants, berries, or mushrooms you can't identify. CampVision will not identify them for you. That is a deliberate limit, not an oversight.

WHAT'S NOT IN HERE

No account. No subscription. No in-app purchases. No ads. No analytics. No tracking. No cloud, no servers, no telemetry of any kind. You buy it once and it's yours.

CampVision asks for exactly one permission: the camera. Not your location, not your microphone, not your photo library. One permission, and then it goes quiet.
