For no apparent reason connection is lost at random times and the only way to fix is to disconnect and reconnect the camera usb cable. At this time I cant get Dropbox to connect in either iphone or ipad apps, when selecting allow it attempts to authorize but fails. Their instructions only go up to the xt2 but I’m using an xt4 and it doesn’t pair with. Sales info and documentation is really misleading because it says it’s compatible. Will be trying to return or selling it on eBay. Capture one might be the only decent tethered option for Fuji cameras **Developer response:** The CamRanger 2 most definitely works with the XT4. I want it to work, but this is not a good first impression. **Developer response:** There are a few reasons why you could be unable to connect. The most common is simply that you need to join the CamRanger WiFi network in the iOS device settings. The current version is large, awkward, and has two antennas, which are plastic and easy to break. The new one has more features, none of which I find useful, but you might. The biggest bummer is the battery life - I go through three batteries in a day. Don’t upgrade, but buy version two if you really need it. Please can you address this. Thank you! ### 3/5 — Buggy *2022-07-28* Tech support is great, but I was with a client at a shoot, and the software would not let me download images to my camera, so it stopped. Tech support said that an update would fix it shortly. Embarassing. **Developer response:** Yep, there was about a 20 hour period when the app had a bug and certain image formats from certain cameras would not download. Again, we apologize for any hassles. ### 3/5 — No full screen function *2019-10-02, version 1.03* When I used canon, this feature was great. My Sony A7RIII has a poor LCD so I would like to see this update soon please. ### 3/5 — App incompatible with iPadOS 13.1 *2019-10-01* Unfortunately, Apple has not yet approved the version of the app compatible with the latest official release of OS13.1. Good quality cables work fine if you need more cable length. Has lots of useful features and is very reliable, which is needed for professional work. Tried other products, but they just don’t quite measure up, this is a tough act to follow. I have been able to control my Nikon D500 at least a 100 yards away. Focus stacking controls work really well! You can also set up “burst” shots. Shooting architecture while tethered to a laptop was too cumbersome on the move but the trade-off was that I could sometimes miss issues on the small camera LCD. The CamRanger app works well, and is fast. It only takes a second or two to review photos on the iPad.
