It's useless unless I can shoot something. I managed to shoot one test before the app failed and it worked fine. I hope the make a fix that will enable users to track using other video apps on the phone and /or connect to more pro cameras - I don't know if others have had the same problem but when I open the app there is only a black screen if done everything like uninstall- restarting my phone. If there is a document on the limitations and recomendations of app usage I have not found it. kudos however to the developers, I am sad to hear their company is closing. ### 4/5 — Amazing App! *2024-12-16* I bought out the full version, and I love this app. It’s very easy to use and does almost everything I need it to. There are two features I wish could be added in the next update. 1.) I wish you could adjust the opacity of the video overlay so that you could see the 3D viewport underneath without having to fully disable it. I sometimes need to line up 3D scans of the set with the footage, and it would be much easier if the video view could be seen with a lower opacity on top. 2.) being able to manually switch to vertical resolution recording would make it easier to work with in my 3D apps when I need to record a vertical video. But this isn’t a necessity, just would make it easier Otherwise it’s pretty great! Maybe the option to transform imported geometry after it’s been set so that I could tweak it after the fact would be pretty great but otherwise very happy! ### 4/5 — Awesome. Also sometimes the camera doesn’t track properly causing the virtual camera to teleport around a bit. Idk if it’s my phone messing this up or the app, but these errors are quite common. Pls Fix! ### 4/5 — Great but slips *2024-03-31* I generally like this but whenever filming on an IPhone, it slips a good amount just enough to be noticeable, but can generally be fixed with some effects on it. I don’t know if your supposed to use an IPad as in the demos or if it’s fine for iPhone too (as I said shooting on iPhone the tracking slips). It would be nice if there was a vertical mode for making shorts too. It works better than BlendARTrack and definitely has more features (besides vertical mode). It's powerful and has terrifying potential. The price is right when you think about what we can do, but it deserves an update because the video department is too stagnant. The FPS only goes to 30 or 60, leaving out the standard European format. Moreover, it would be exciting to have the option to choose the camera, and even more so, the ability to record in Apple ProRes h265. I would highly recommend the paid version as more export options and the ability to use more than one tracking marker. I use this app with Blender and After Effects and it’s tracking is rock solid even with fast camera moves. If you find your tracking seems off when imported into Blender, it’s because the keyframes are by default set at frame 0, just select all and move all to the right by one frame and all is good.
