Unfortunately, I got to 944, correctly guessed the clue and then the app crashed. Now I’m extremely frustrated. ### 3/5 — Adverts stop game. *2020-12-21, version 3.0.6* I still don’t like the fact that you can put in any gibberish instead of words. But, in answer to another person’s complaint, I do like words that are not common because it is good for people with a wide vocabulary. But now, when the advertisement for another game comes up and takes over the screen, you cannot get out of it, so your Lingo game ends because you have to restart Lingo. I like that you can pick the grid size. 6x6 can be quite challenging. One thing I would like to see in future updates, multiplayer mode. Would be more fun if friends could play against each other. With multiplayer mode would definitely be a 5 star app. ### 4/5 — Countdown issue *2016-10-29, version 1.2* Great game but countdown time isn't working correctly after first couple games. Countdown counts down too fast and skips numbers. Please fix. Can't play if it keeps doing this. ### 4/5 — Good game, but could use an update *2016-10-18, version 1.2* Lingo is, without a doubt, included in my top 5 list of fun and easy-to-play "gameshow" games that made it to the App Store. 4/5 stars - would be nice to have: -color customization (changing background colors and schemes, etc) -a way to sign up and log-in so you could track how well you do and how much better you've gotten after playing for awhile -possibly a co-op feature but honestly, this game is pretty much good-to-go for solo play -a larger keyboard to input the letters as you guess. The preset keyboard on my iPhone has bigger letters and a bit of space in between them. No longer shows which letters are n the word and/or in the right spot. And does not acknowledge the correct word. So bland. Complicated words moreso common words are not used.. drolly? Wroth? Cowed? ### 1/5 — Political Ads in Game Must STOP *2018-03-18, version 1.9.1* Ads periodically intrude in the game. No big deal, until I noticed today the ads are from the Republican committee about New York Governor Cuomo. Did the Russians hack the game? Come on guys...this is supposed to be a silly word game to escape the partisan politics. But the timer is broken so I'm uninstalling. The app worked fine for the first round. Then after playing the first ad the timer would say 2 minutes and countdown in 10 seconds. For a couple of rounds I just watched the timer jump ahead 10 seconds. More ad play I guess. ### 1/5 — Lots of uncommon words *2016-07-20, version 1.2* Very obscure words that I've never heard of. Makes it less fun when it's not that you didn't think fast enough, but rather that it's a word from the 1600s that you never would have come up with. Deleted app after trying it for half an hour. Hoped it would be more like the TV or computer version. ### 1/5 — Cool but.... *2016-07-18, version 1.2* They don't have the English Dictionary. 😒 ### 2/5 — Disappointing *2023-02-12, version 4.0.2* I played for 20 minutes. Ads make you lose a life even though you already guessed the word, and the game freezes after 21 words. One comment said ads were intrusive but there are few ads, especially compared to other games. Definitely something I can deal with considering this is so fun!!!
