I took my test a few days ago after preparing exclusively with this app, and I can confidently recommend it to anyone getting ready for the exam. The bite-sized sections make it much easier to understand and retain the material, and there is a lot of mock tests that closely reflect the types of questions you will see on the actual exam. It also addresses issues you might not anticipate before starting your preparation. The official citizenship guide includes outdated information in several areas including recent political developments, economic references and evolving social and historical contexts. I was impressed to see that the app provides updated content (such as the number of ridings and the current head of state), while also referencing the original guide to help users understand both the updated information and what is officially stated. One area for improvement would be the “Words” section. It would be helpful if it functioned not just as a glossary, but more like a search engine across the educational content. I recommend starting with the study sections first—complete each section and answer the questions at the end. If you get any answers wrong, don’t change them right away; continue studying and come back later to review your mistakes. Once you’ve gone through the study sections, move on to the first set of exams and complete them. Then, read the Discover Canada book once from start to finish. After that, return to the study sections for a second review, and proceed to complete the second set of exams. When you feel confident, go ahead and take the test! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Outdated and Repetitive *2026-07-18, version 1.9.47* The mock tests are ok in certain points, while comparing to current study guide I found several outdated information and wrong responses in the app. Despite various repetitive questions additional tests. The whole content here needs to be reviewed to avoid confusion. I expected more caution for the price. ### 1/5 — DO NOT PURCHASE *2026-07-17, version 1.9.47* I got this to prepare for my Citizenship Test, done just this week. I completed every single quiz in this app with 100% correct answers so I’d be well set. Not one of the questions on the actual test was in any of the quizzes this app offered. I don’t know where they’re getting their questions, but if you trust them solely then you will not have all the info you need to pass. Fortunately I used additional resources which got me over the line and they didn’t make me fail. ### 1/5 — App block *2026-03-27, version 1.9.44* I cannot go past chapter 1. ### 1/5 — Scamming offer *2026-02-23, version 1.9.44* The app displayed a limited time 50% discount offer. Not clear at all how to use that. Many important Dates, geography information, many characters in Canadian history/politics are missing in this App. So frustrating. Many of the practice tests are only repeating each other without any new questions. Dont waste your money and time here ### 1/5 — Do not download it. Best regards, The Citizenship App Team ### 1/5 — They charge with no clear notice, and the practice is nothing like the real test. *2025-06-17, version 1.9.26* When charging, they only highlight 4.99per week, but fail to emphasize that it is a recurring weekly fee. If you don’t cancel the subscription, they automatically charge you every week.
