## What is Canary Beaches?

Canary Beaches is the nicest way to check the sea before heading to the beach, across all 8 islands.

• Tides: when they rise and fall, with today's chart and a 7-day table. They are computed on your phone, so they work offline.
• Sea state: swell, wind and water temperature for every beach.
• Indicative danger level from currents (low/medium/high), with a clear warning and the reason why. Never a substitute for official flags and lifeguards.
• 496 beaches and rock pools with real photos, a map with a legend, and filters by island, type and danger level.
• Sort beaches from nearest to farthest using your location.
• Save your favorites and reach them in one tap.

More accurate tides
The 9 stations have been recalibrated against a full year of official tables from the Spanish Hydrographic Institute. Average error is now under 4 minutes in time and 4 cm in height, and everything is computed on your phone: tides work offline.

More places and better photos
496 beaches and rock pools (68 new ones, including Almáciga and Roque de las Bodegas), 411 of them with a real photo. Every photo was reviewed one by one so no beach shows another beach's picture.

Map
A legend explaining the symbols, a button to centre the map on your location, and new filters by beach type.

Dangerous beaches
A clear red warning with the specific reason. The cloth flags are gone, replaced by our own symbols: they were being confused with the real flags on the beach.
