Yet every loss is a solid -1 ### 4/5 — Observations *2026-08-09, version 1.19* I downloaded this to re-familiarize myself with the game (4 player). It has accomplished that for me while being mostly fun to play. Recently I started doing post hand forensics on the computer partners hand and discovered that many times the computer partner hand is holding cards that would fill red canastas but were not played (most recently I had melded 5 of a particular card, the computer partner’s turn came and went without playing 2of the other 3 cards in its hand for a red canasta). In this canasta version it’s all about customization. Personally, I wanted to slow it way down so I could see what others were doing so, learning how to play myself. I purchased another version just because I liked the board layout, but that bombardes you with a huge "buy more of my games" that you have to sit through. No option to remove it, plus, it’s sadly lacking in options. I Iike everything about “Canasta-Online and Offline.” The graphic design is clear and attractive. The game rules are clearly explained. The game provides a great deal of flexibility regarding configuration. I can adjust level of difficulty, card faces and backs, and even some game rules. It was certainly well worth the 10 dollars I spent to remove all ads. “Canasta-Online and Offline” provides me with hours of entertainment every day. Developer responds by insulting me but I’m a champion canasta player. I still beat the bot 90% of the time on level 5. Of course I know better players remember cards. Developer is just trying to defend that they cannot develop a truly competitive game. Amateurs ### 1/5 — Watch out for extreme political views and unfair banning *2026-04-20, version 1.17* I love to play Canasta, but there is a major problem with this app. When you play the game, you often encounter sadistic players who try to force you to leave by purposefully not playing their cards, calling you names, and deciding to do this for no reason whatsoever, or because you unintentionally gave the pile away. If you complain to the developer, they will not do anything about it. They will claim that they can’t read or see the photos you send them as proof. They allow people to call others all kinds of awful things as long as they don’t use the words on their short list of curse words. They might ban you for being “rude” without being specific as to why they banned you or for how long. The game is full of conservative propaganda robots, and it’s clear that someone is paying the developer a lot of money to have their conservative agenda pushed on the app chat. So, you don’t even know if you have been banned for political reasons because you responded to one of the conservative bots in a way that the conservative client doesn’t approve. Stay away from this game app. ### 1/5 — Trolls! *2026-04-15, version 1.17* Trolls come in many shapes and filters. Beware the regulars specifically Shorra and Rachel. Admin will also private message you dirty sexual messages. ### 1/5 — Excellent *2026-03-13, version 1.17* Love this, well how wrong can I be, absolutely awful game in multiplayer mode plays it’s own rules. Not sure how the developers got it so wrong. I used it for years and its advertising was clean. Not now. ### 1/5 — Can’t change picking up pile rule *2026-02-07, version 1.17* Not sure what Canasta rule that is, however it is super frustrating that a player can pick up the pile just because the display card matches a card of one of their melds. I am used to playing Canasta where it requires two of the same cards to pick up the pile, meld or not. And you cannot change this rule.
