Reviews this year there so bad, the mods of r/medicine took the post down so that the link could not be used. Ask your doctors about your cancer risks, that’s what you pay them for. Wish I could give zero stars ### 1/5 — Terrible *2019-09-21, version 1.1.1* Totally inaccurate, uses fear mongering and has no merit. Don’t waste your time ### 1/5 — HE IS SELLING YOUR DATA *2019-04-03, version 1.0.16* This app was not created by a doctor, it just uses data from unsubstantiated claims from a doctor in a hospital in Belgium. Also, according to the privacy policy this app does share your information with third parties, and does not claim it won’t sell your information. Someone threw together an app to collect, harvest, and sell you and your families health information. DO NOT DOWNLOAD. ### 2/5 — Can’t use on iPhone *2024-09-27, version 1.3.9* Several pop-up menus are truncated by edge of screen (iPhone 15 plus), so is unusable. ### 2/5 — A great idea that doesn’t hold up to scrutiny *2020-10-14, version 1.1.13* I found this app when the developer posted it in the /medicine subreddit on Reddit. It got thoroughly panned there by other docs for the methodology used, which seems to give quite inaccurate results. Still, I tried it out myself. I was surprised to see my breast cancer risk as lower than the general population, since I have several family members with histories of breast cancer. Same for cervical cancer, which I should be at higher risk for, given my HPV+ status and history of cervical dysplasia. Then I realized the app did not ask for HPV status or results of Pap smear tests - seems odd to offer a risk analysis of cervical cancer and not include those. Overall, just doesn’t seem trustworthy. I would not encourage anyone to make healthcare decisions based on this app. ### 3/5 — Questionable utility? *2019-05-03, version 1.0.18* People, just go see your doctor. An app with data this sparse and analysis this shallow isn’t going to help you identify your cancer risk, nor will it provide meaningful insight into lifestyle changes. Thanks for clarifying the relationship with Google/Admob. It seems reasonably clear that your personal health data remains on the device. ### 4/5 — Neat *2019-04-03, version 1.0.16* Hey, I don’t see anywhere to report a bug, but the Thyroid Cancer section doesn’t give any information at all, it’s just empty. Overall the app is pretty neat, my only criticism is it’s worded a bit oddly in some parts. ### 5/5 — Great information, worth giving a try! *2021-11-04, version 1.1.15* Easy to input information and very user friendly. Very interesting to see the results! Definitely gives some great recommendations on how to improve lifestyle to lower cancer risks.
