## What is Candid?

Flirty truths, bold dares and the fantasies you haven't said out loud yet.

Candid is a private game for two. Start light, let the night build, and go only as far as you both want.

JUST THE TWO OF YOU
Private, with no account, no ads and no coins. What you pick, play and write stays between you.

FIVE WAYS TO PLAY
• Classic Play: truths and dares across four moods, from Icebreaker to Intimate. 463 cards that never repeat until you've seen them all.
• Desires: each of you secretly picks the fantasies you'd like to explore, and Candid reveals only the ones you both chose.
• Guided Mode: a paced night that builds from warm to close, with a limit you set together.
• Through Your Eyes: answer questions about each other, then see how your partner sees the best in you.
• Talk It Through: for after a disagreement. Take turns being heard, then each choose one small thing for next time.

FREE, WITH NO DAILY LIMIT
The full Original deck, Guided nights up to Play, two Through Your Eyes rounds, two Desires categories (five picks a round), Talk It Through and Daily Notes are free for good.

CANDID PREMIUM
One subscription covers you both. It unlocks seven themed packs (Anniversary, Long Distance, Reconnection, Date Night, Long Haul, Early Days and the optional Adults Only pack), every Through Your Eyes round, the full Desires catalogue, custom cards and higher-intensity Guided nights. Monthly, with a discounted first month for new subscribers, or yearly.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period. Manage them in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.7 — 2026-11-01

• More private: the ad-measurement screen and its setting are gone.

### 1.6 — 2026-10-26

• Talk It Through: a calm, ten-step conversation for after a disagreement. Each of you is heard, then you each choose one small thing for next time. Free for everyone.
• See how far through each pack you are, and know when you've finished one.
• "New" badges mark what an update adds.
• The subscription screen now lists everything that stays free, and says plainly that one subscription covers you both.
• New subscribers can try Monthly for $0.99 for the first month.
• Fixed player names and settings resetting after a relaunch.

### 1.5 — 2026-10-22

• This week's card: a new card on the Play tab every Monday, the same on both your phones.
• Tell us what brings you here and Candid suggests the pack that fits.
• Classic Play can now offer a weekly reminder, scheduled on your phone only.
• Clearer subscription details, including a free week on yearly where offered, and a reminder two days before it ends.

### 1.4 — 2026-10-03

• Four ways to play, one picker: Classic Play, Desires, Guided Mode and Through Your Eyes.
• Through Your Eyes: answer questions about each other, then see how your partner sees the best in you. Nine themed rounds, including a new guessing round.
• A bigger deck: 463 cards across eight packs, with new Date Night, Long Haul and Early Days packs.
• Daily Notes: one short note a day to your partner, shared privately through your own iCloud.
• Optional reminders: a weekly game night, an anniversary reminder and quiet hours. Off until you turn them on.
• Ad measurement is opt-in: you choose on Candid's own screen, and can change your mind any time in Settings.

### 1.3 — 2026-08-31

Guided Mode. Until now Candid handed you the deck and left the choosing to you — Guided Mode runs the evening instead. It's a sequence that starts light, opens up, and ends on something worth remembering rather than on a dare. Pick a length at setup, then decide together at the end of each phase whether to go deeper, stay a while, or wind down. Bring a second phone and the session runs on both at once over your local network, so neither of you is reading over a shoulder. Before it begins you each privately choose how far you're willing to go, and Candid plays to the gentler of the two answers — nobody has to be the one to suggest more. Passing is free and unlimited here: a passed card is replaced at the same depth, never a softer one, so the night keeps its shape. Guided Mode is free to try, with the full arc in Premium.
